this moment- a lost baby owl

{this moment} – A Friday ritual from Soule Mama, one of my favorite bloggers.  A single photo (this time two) – no words – capturing a moment from the week.  A simple, special, extraordinary moment.  A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.  If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your “moment” in the comments for all to find and see.

  2. How amazing. Sad for the baby owl but he was lucky your girls found him! Here’s ours: http://wp.me/p1tVEm-da

  3. Oh No!! Poor little sweetie. Last year we had a baby bird fall from the nest in my front yard and survived the fall. I left him in the yard and the parents actually raised him in the yard. I was so happy when I found him again, living in a bush and only days away from having his flight feathers…..

    • How cool that they raised him the yard! The wildlife department said that if we couldn’t get him in the tree the parents would abandon him. My main concern though was my neighbors dog. That wouldn’t have ended well. 🙁

  4. Well done! I’ve done a course run by a local wildlife park that trains up normal every day people to be wildlife rescue workers to be called in when there’s injured or orphaned wildlife. One of the biggest problems they often have is that people don’t get animals/birds to carers quick enough. It’s great you acted quickly, hopefully he makes a full recovery and can be released.

  5. What a fabulous learning experience for the whole family. I’m sure you’ll all remember that little guy/gal for a long time.

  6. I love your blog! I just found you on FB!
    So many cute babies!!!!
