#LeakyLooks: Fashion, Fireworks, Fabulous! (And a Giveaway!)

by Kileah McIlvain

Can you feel it?! Summer, Fireworks (okok. I know some of you don’t like it, but hear me out. You might like the outfit I put together for the 4th better than the actual BOOM BOOM. lol. That is OK!) and simple yet fabulous outfits that allow you the freedom to explore the outdoors, grill outside, neighborhood movie nights projected on an old white sheet, juicy popsicles running down your chin….yeah. I get a bit excited!

We’ve got such a great collection for you Leakies this week! (Plus….a FANTASTIC giveaway from Applecheeks!). Have fun! Pin, Post, Instagram- let me know how you like these looks and what YOUR favorite summer outfits are for #BoobOutFashion!

Saturday Farmer’s Market

Farmer's Market

Isn’t this look adorable? I’ve been enjoying this lightweight nursing infinity scarf from Applecheeks and I put together this look for some great fun at the local Saturday market! I even found purple apple earrings from Etsy! Chewbead bracelets are a must-have for that sweet squish as they ride around in an Uppababy stroller! Don’t forget a chic Namaste mini messenger diaper bag in Caribbean Blue from Luv My Bag and an easy, lightweight pair of bermuda shorts from Old Navy and an easy-to-nurse-in White Flutter Sleeve top from Seraphine! (Yes. I totally added in my favorite Birks…because SERIOUSLY. They are amazing. And I live in them come summertime!)

Fireworks and BBQ

Fireworks!

This one has got to be one of my favorite summer looks so far! I centered this whole look on the Tula baby carrier in Skipper! The striped nursing tank is one of my favorite tops from Figure 8 Maternity and I added in a simple red skirt from SheInside. Comfortable Ink Calf hair blue wedge Toms complete this patriotic look! And you’re probably wondering where that gorgeous striped diaper bag came from? Ikabags on Etsy makes them! Don’t forget an eco-friendly way to transport food and water!

Easygoing Boho Mama

The Easygoing Mama

This beautiful and easygoing look is based around the gorgeous BB Slen sling from Babylonia USA! Made ethically and from sustainable resources, this compliments the gorgeous breezy maxi dress from Maurices! I chose this gorgeous maxi for its range of sizes available and the gorgeous print (and easy nursing access!). Wooden and crocheted chew necklace from Etsy and an easy geometric wedges from Toms (as well as a gorgeous bag from Luv My Bag!)-you’re all set for an easygoing day that’s comfortable and functional AND lovely!

  1. My husband and I just found out we are expecting our first baby. I’ve seen so many cute ways to make breast feeding easier on the eyes (to people who worry about that kind of thing). I can’t wait to become a mommy!

  2. Rachel Perez says

I would totally rock all of these looks

  3. Jennifer says

Love the Tula print! Would love to win!

  4. Megan Lane says

I love the Boho mama look! What’s most important in my breastfeeding style is ease of access.

  5. I love your emails and awesome giveaways! My favorite thing to wear while nursing are my nursing tanks that can be worn under clothing. They give me comfort and modesty when I have to lift my shirt and my mom tummy is covered. Helps me to be discrete, which I love!

  6. LMarie Weeks says

Id have to say im a happy mix of easy going boho mom and saturdan farmers market. And once in a while fireworks and bbqs.

  7. Sonia Gonzalez says

Love the selection pieces put together for Mommies! I’m expecting and looking forward to incorporate style choices. Live the colors, styles and comfort choices!!!!!!!

  8. Love the 4th of July look! The tank looks adorable, and I always prefer skirts to shorts in the summer.

  9. Danielle says

I love the easy going boho mama look. It’s perfectly casual. I also love wearing scarves when I’m nursing (especially if there’s a nip slip… )

  10. Sherry Blamer says

I really like the fireworks and BBQ outfit. I think its important to be comfortable and be able look nice too.

  11. Theresa Hover says

Of these 3 looks, I am probably closer to the Saturday Morning Farmers market, with the exception of the stroller, I would have a wrap or carrier instead (especially at the farmers market!)
For me, breastfeeding clothing should be comfortable and discrete to use.

  12. jodi Armstrong says

I like the easy going boho mama best but would wear any 🙂

  13. Yvonne Martinez says

I would wear the Fireworks and BBQ look. It looks casual and comfortable, yet can convert to dressed up if need be.

  14. I would wear the look paired with the Tula carrier. What’s important for my nursing style is that it is simple so I can match it with many options and that it is easy to use.

  15. Cute options! The stripes on the top in the bbq outfit are fun. To me, ease of access while still looking cute is what matters to me– sadly nursing tops that are cute and functional are usually out of my budget range.

  16. Fireworks & BBQ

  17. Fireworks and BBQ is my favorite. My first baby will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I’ve only left the house a few times and I’m realizing that I have to be very strategic with my clothes. So far, I prefer to have a shirt that I can pull down and then I use a blanket or nursing cover to keep me covered up. Thanks for posting these style boards! They are helpful 🙂

  18. Nikki Goodwin says

I love all of these looks but I think the Easygoing Boho Mama is more me 🙂 I always try to wear something that fits my style and makes breastfeeding easy at the same time.

  19. I love the Saturday Farmer’s Market look. It’s very me and looks very comfortable, which is what I strive for every day 😉

  20. Sarah Parker says

Saturday Farmers Market for sure! I’m all about comfort and practicality!

  21. I like the Boho Mama style the best. I love maxi dresses! Easy access and comfort is important to me in my breastfeeding style.

  22. Alyssa E says

    LOVE seeing baby wearing outfits!!!

  23. Brittany Kruchan says

I would rock the Saturday market look! Totally me! I like cute but practical.
I still breastfeed so anything that is Comfy works and I love the super cute scarf that would make feeding easier! Love these looks!

  24. Jamie-Lea White says

Would wesr the firt one. I am more a casual clothing person. As for breastfeeding I am all about the comfort ad easy to get in and out. With 4 kids you need quick and easy on your side!

  25. I don’t really have a breastfeeding style just comfy.

  26. Anna Pry says

the Saturday farmer’s market look, would be comfy and modest (and really would be something i’d wear every saturday when we go to the farmers market downtown!)

  27. I would wear the Saturday’s Farmer’s Market look. The most important thing to me is that my nursing style looks good but is still functional. I’ve tried some products that are supposed to help with nursing, but just make things more complicated. I think a scarf is a great idea!

  28. Saturday Farmer’s Market look and most important for me is breastfeeding should be functional and easy as I am a little shy breastfeeding in public.

  29. Saturday Farmer’s Market look and most important for me is breastfeeding should be functional and easy.

  30. anne stewart says

I love the fireworks and bbq look! Comfy but still super cute!

  31. Carla Morgan says

I would wear Fireworks and BBQ. Ease of access and comfort are the two most important things for my breastfeeding style.

  32. liz kitty says

farmers market! i love casual and comfortable! 🙂

  33. Love the Saturday Farmers Market look. Casual and functional while nursing is key for us, especially now that I do not have a discreet toddler nursing!

  34. Fireworks!! You know I’m all about the easy going boho mama look!

  35. i love the boho look. comfort is super important to me in my breastfeeding style. 🙂

  36. Christina Williams says

I’d have to go wiith Saturday farmer’s market or fireworks and bbq, but really, anything that’s comfy and I can pop a boob out the rop or side works for me!

  37. How does one get a boob out of that ‘Fireworks’ top?? I reject it as nursing apparell in that I think it would take more than 0.025 seconds to whip one out, which would obviously be cause for full blown screaming tantrum and vocal, physical rejection of too-late presented boob, making sure that all bystanders know what’s happening “no mummy, NO! NO booby, bye-BYE booby!!”

or wait, is that just us?

  38. Amanda Lea says

I like the fireworks and bbq look. Comfort and easy boob access is whats important to me 🙂

  39. Easy going boho style. I like be to wear things that are able to have multiple purpose and simple at the same time.

  40. Stephanie says

I’m due in September and I love the boho mama look!

  41. I LOVE these looks, getting ready for baby number 2 to arrive and looking for ways to still look great but be able to easily nurse and not feel like I am exposing everything.

  42. Saturday Farmer’s Market – and #1 for me is COMFORT!

  43. I love the style! Fashionable and practical!
