Welcome to The Ultimate World Breastfeeding Week
Giveaway, co-hosted by The Leaky Boob, San
Diego Breastfeeding Center , and The Boob Group. This year’s
World Breastfeeding Week theme is Mother to Mother Support, which is what
we are all about!
World Breastfeeding Week is a time to celebrate breastfeeding mothers
around the world, as well as recognize the barriers that these same
mothers face as they strive to meet their personal breastfeeding goals.
Breastfeeding, as all things having to do with parenting a child,
requires a supportive network that guides, provides helpful advice, and
elevates a mother’s self-esteem. Mother to mother support, in
addition to community support and education, are crucial to a mother’s
personal breastfeeding success.
To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week 2013, over 40
breastfeeding-supportive companies have donated items for 2 enormous
Breastfeeding Mom Prize Packages, each valued at over $600! First,
we’d like to introduce you to the co-hosts of the Ultimate World
Breastfeeding Week giveaway. Then, we’ll share all of the goodies
that have been so graciously donated.

A kind word or a hand to pick up a dropped item for a stranger can go further than you’d know! We all have an interest in more babies being breastfed, longer.
I totally agree! Especially when you see a mom with hands full of baby and all his or her gear, helping out in any way can be so appreciated.
What an amazing giveaway! So many products I never knew existed!
Such great prizes, I’m 37 weeks with my 2nd baby, had lots of trouble breastfeeding my first, would love to try these out!!!
Especially support and kind words to those breast feeding past the first year. Our society tends to look down on extended breast feeding, even though there are so many benefits for mom and baby. Definitely speaking out to support others who are breast feeding is so helpful!
Definitely, I know this helped me especially in the early days of my breastfeeding journey.
Love this giveaway! And love breastfeeding!!
So excited about this giveaway! I’ve been EBFing my daughter since the day she was born 4 months ago. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve been fortunate to have a great group of supportive friends in my life (both breastfeeding and formula moms!), and can’t imagine not breastfeeding my daughter at this point. 🙂
I’m excited, too! I EBF my son for almost 13 months and my husband and I are currently trying for #2. I plan on BFing the next baby for at least a year if not longer…I miss BFing now that I weaned my first a few months ago. This giveaway is great! Love the products, some I already use and some I’d love to try. 🙂 Thanks Leaky Boob!
Breastfeeding for 13 months and not slowing down 🙂 Wonderful giveaway, so many great products!
10mo here and no plans to stop!
Breastfeeding my second child, special needs 23 months and going strong (:
8 months here and still going strong!! I love that special bond that you get with breastfeeding. I would not have gotten here without all of the moms at my local Mom2Mom and my husband. They were there to answer all questions concerns and endured all of my crazy-ness in the beginning.
I’m so excited for this giveaway!
Me too! I am a first time Mom (only days away from my expected due date) and looking forward to meeting our little boy for the first time 😀 One of the things that I am most excited about is breastfeeding because it is such a wonderful source of nutrition for baby and such a beautiful way to bond. I’m so glad so many other women out there are just as excited – especially when so many women I talk to are horrified at the thought. They don’t know what they are missing out on!
Me too! I am on 5 months of BF for my little nursling! He’s our first!
I love this!! Awesome!
Breastfeeding support pages got me through the first hard months of nursing! I have grown strength on many areas because of the positive support I have received and have given to friends! Breast is best, and when you think you can’t, turn to another mother for advice.
Woohoo for mama milk! What great prize packs in this giveaway! I am jealous of the winners already!
Absolutely love giveaways!! (:
Me too! Especially when the help support breast feeding women!
I have some of the amazing products in the give away, i am just so excited to be a nursing mother during world breastfeeding week !
This is awesome! Thanks!
Wonderful giveaways!
I don’t know how to support and raise awareness about breastfeeding. I try not to judge or compete with other moms, and to just offer information or encouragement when asked. When other moms in my playgroup are bfing a new baby with a toddler, I try to help out with the toddler so they have a minute to breathe.
As a mom expecting in 6 weeks i would love to win one of these packages!
I got the idea off a friend to make print-outs referring to the law in my specific state, benefits of breastfeeding. My next goal is to make cards that thank women for BF in public!
Thank you for all that you do 🙂
I love following you! Breast feeding support is so important to the success of all bf moms and their families. Well done leaky boob!
Here, here!
I want that ergo carrier!!
Thank you for the opportunity! Love your blog!
Yay for breast feeding week!
I would love to win!!! Love the Leaky B@@b for all of the support for bf mama’s! I’m a FTM who uses the suggestions and support from you daily! Thanks!!
My nursling is nearly two, but, I would love love love this for him, and baby number 3!
I support all breast feeding mothers and offer nursing sessions with my photography business! I
I would be thrilled to win a package! I have been using the same pump for 3 kids and to donate milk. I love breastfeeding and helping other moms to breastfeed through my teaching and trainings. What a gift.
Preparing for my third little nursling to arrive in the next few weeks, would love to win this prize!!!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love breastfeeding! I’m currently breastfeeding my 2 month old and my 2 year old. I love knowing that I’m feeding them the best thing I can possibly feed them! I also love the bond that comes with it!
Thank you for all the work that you do to support breastfeeding moms. As a first time mom, support from my peers and experienced mamas has been crucial in meeting my own goals.
Love the giveaway for World Breastfeeding Week!! Its great that there is a World Breastfeeding week 🙂 My daughter just turn 5 months and at first we had to supplement with formula because I wasn’t making enough but now we haven’t touch formula in 2 1/2 months and going strong 🙂
Reading your post takes some stress off of me. I’m worried i won’t make enough and be forced to formula feed. Thank you for sharing your success of switching back to breastfeeding. Gives newbies like me encouragement!
I always give breast feeding items to new mothers. Sometimes all you need is a good cream!
🙂
Ahhh! This is amazing, and such a wonderful giveaway!!!
I love this!!!
So excited to see a giveaway for breastfeeding moms. Sometimes its the hardest thing I do, but I know that it is best.
Online support of breastfeeding has been so important to me! Without it, I’m not sure how far we would have made it. First, as a clueless first time mom. Then baby 2 with posterior tongue tie. I’m so thankful to live in an age where support is just a click away anytime of day or night:)
Amaaazing giveaway! I utilize this site so often and rec to mama friends!
I encourage other breastfeeding moms by attending La Leche League meetings where I offer advice and support from my own experiences. I also gently encourage family members with little ones. I’m currently bf’ing my 2 1/2 yr old and expecting #2 in November. Thanks for entering me!
After unsuccessfully nursing my first 2 daughters, due to no milk supply and no support system, I can proudly say my newest daughter has been EBF for almost 3 months, with no end in sight! Thank you for your support – your resources are the reason we’re doing so awesome!! Thank you!
So excited for world breastfeeding week, what an exciting week to show the world the sorry we have for breastfeeding. Thank you to the leaky boob and the other sponsors.
I am a LL leader and going to the BLO with 2 kiddos!
I love checking out the Leaky stories and info- as a working first time mom, I need all the help and support I can get for breastfeeding. I feel fortunate and encouraged as part of this community!
this is a great website
We have made it 7.5 weeks so far…and still going strong!
This is awesome. Currently chasing 2 toddler boys and pregnant with baby #3 due Christmas day!
What an awesome contest and awesome prizes! Thank you to TLB and to all the companies who added to the prize packages! I hope to win!!! God bless!
San Diego bf site newsletter subscription appears to be down?
Ahh…this is amazing! I hope I win 🙂
I think it is very important to offer support and encourage women to breastfeed! So often women “give up” because of support and education on breastfeeding.
This is an amazing giveaway! You guys are awesome!
Holy Giveaway Batman!! Thanks to everyone rocking the support this week!!
I would love to win all these goodies!
This is incredible! Thank you!
With my first son 5 years ago, I didn’t have the education, resources, and support I found this time around. Following TheLeakyBoob and other FB pages and websites help me work through some initial struggles. World Breastfeeding Week and other awareness activities helps empower women to breastfeed, do it longer, and pass support on to others. Thank you!
This is such an awesome giveaway!
Happy world breast feeding week!!!!
I’m so glad I found the Leaky Boob! There is so much support, and I try to pass that along to my friends!
I was one of those mothers who when I was pregnant thought I had to stop breast feeding when my son had teeth. I ended up breast feeding my son until he self weaned at 18 months thanks to friends and sites like the Leaky B@@b educating me on what is natural and right. I have now passed on so much information to family and friends helping them become educated just as I did 🙂
Such an awesome giveaway!
This is an amazing giveaway! It is truly going to help some well deseving mothers!
I would love to win. I am currently breastfeeding my 13 week twins
I would love to win one of these two awesome packages!!
This is such a wonderful opportunity thank you for hosting this giveaway ♥
I love breastfeedong. There os.no betterbond in the world
Breastfeeding is normal and natural and my hope is that one day it won’t be a big deal at all! Like brushing our teeth or showering lol of course I am breastfeeding!
LOVE that all these awesome companies came together to honor breastfeeding for us Mothers. <3
Can I just say that I love these groups. My son is 6 weeks old and we have had 6 weeks of breastfeeding trials! These groups have provided so much support.
Wow! Amazing giveaway! Just about to have my 3rd and of course breastfeed! All would come in very handy 🙂
Wow, all the prizes are so nice and wonderful. What a fun contest. I’ve been breastfeeding for three different children for the past 7yrs.
THANK YOU. Thank you for bringing awareness to breastfeeding. It saddens me that even today there is such a stigma surrounding it. As a breastfeeding mom and an advocate of all things breast, I appreciate that there are hard working people and organizations who are willing to take a stand and support mothers everywhere.
This is an amazing giveaway. Happy world breastfeeding week!
I try to encourage other BF moms by sharing tips and my own experiences. 🙂
I have a two week old and all these wonderful prizes would be such a blessing! I love you Leaky Boob!
I show awareness by nursing in public, it’s the small things.
Awesome giveaway!
So, with my first baby I did not have the support I needed. I nursed 10.5 months while also supplementing with formula because my supply sucked. Do to lack of knowledge and support. With my baby now, I have had the support and knowledge and am still 100% nursing my baby girl who turns 1 tomorrow and I have no plans on stopping. I have been able to donate milk to other moms who have needed some extra help. I wish I would have know about these option with my son. Because of my struggles with my first I am a ballsy nurser with my second. I just do not give a damn. I will nurse uncovered wherever I am. Fancy dinner, walking down street, funeral, wedding, work and whenever and wherever she needs milk. I think this why I have been so successful. Also, due to the fact that I had such an emotional struggle with my first I have become a huge advocate. I have helped many of my friends and co-workers wives thru the first months of breastfeeding when they have been struggling. I love doing it and I love being there for others that need support and a little bit of cheer leading.
I dont know if I wouldve kept bf if it wasnt for the support and advice and information from pages like this. It is awesome to see so much support. Out of 4 children only my last one has been breastfed. Going strong for 6 months and not stopping any time soon!
I’ve been a big supporter of breastfeeding since I had my first son 7 years ago. I’ve always been open with my friends and online about my passion for breastfeeding and because of that I’ve had people I haven’t spoken to in years come to me for advice or guidance, or people send their friends/family my way because they know I’ll help them find the answers they need or find them someone who can help them! I think my open, honest, friendly approach brings awareness to those who wouldn’t otherwise ask out of fear!
I love TLB! You do great work.
I’m so excited for this giveaway! I’m a 19 year old mom to a 6 month little boy & we live in WV (one of the states with the lowest breastfeeding rates). I’m a huge advocate for breastfeeding especially for moms my age 🙂
I ran into another young mother in costco with her mom! The young mother and I exchanged glances as we both nursed out LO’s in the food area and then struck up a conversation. She’d not really seen other young mom’s BF and I was able to share with her about the free lactation tea at our local hospital, the nights/times of our LLL local meetings, and we traded numbers for playdates! I find the best way to support BF is to do it proudly and publicly when LO needs it, by setting a confident example you put yourself out there as a resource, an ally, a support system, etc.
I had a very rocky start to breastfeeding my lo. I almost gave up several times but I had a couple of friends and support groups help me through. lo is now 17 mts and still nursing on demand. I have since then been able to give advice to 4 of my friends who are new to breastfeeding.
The Leaky Boob has been a wonderful resource for me, a FTM, to continue breastfeeding my ten month old. In the face of our culture and other well-meaning folks (which can be very anti-breastfeeding at times), these blog posts and readers’ comments have been a HUGE encouragement. And it’s great because they’re easy to read on my smartphone while I’m breastfeeding. Win-win! 🙂 My breastfeeding journey has been, by far, one of the most rewarding and wonderful parts of my life so far! Thanks, Leaky Boob and Leaky Boob community!
Online resources have been a godsend. I am the only woman in my family who has breast fed. We had a lot of difficulties at first. The little one would latch on but wouldn’t suck (lazy thing lol), then we couldn’t get him to latch. I searched a lot for inspiration as I was so frustrated thinking I was doing something wrong, and I felt like I was already failing at motherhood. Breast feeding was so important to me. It was so nice to know I wasn’t the only one who had issues and now baby boy and I are completely in sync with each other.
Breastfeeding your baby is one of the great and many things a woman can do. Awareness of this important natural ability is needed more and more these days. In an information savvy world, bf can be looked over and not given the credit it deserves. Keep up the good work, Mommas. You’re doing great!
I love TLB and would love to win 🙂 I am not fiscally blessed to be able to buythese things
This giveaway sounds amazing! Thanks for all you do to support us BF’ing mamas!
Amazing giveaway! Thank you for all the support!
Great giveaways!
Breastfeeding was a challenge for me from the beginning, the hospital I birthed at wasn’t as supportive as they said they were which resulted in reducing supply etc…however, I refused to give up. Using a breast shield, a hospital grade pump, and lots of patience, I have been able to EBF my 6 month old for months now! You’ll have sore nipples, moments when you and baby are trying to get used to it, but the feeling you will have when the two of you have worked together is beyond words. My little man is now 20 lbs of breastfeed goodness and we couldn’t be happier 🙂
OH my goodness this really IS the mother of all giveaways! How exciting!
You guys are a wonderful support for mothers!
This is amazing stuff!
Such an amazon giveaway! Thanks!
I’m still nursing a 16 mo old and am due with another in Feb. My nursing journey is far from over & I’m very glad that’s the case. I really love nursing.
What an amazing giveaway! So exciting!
Wow these are all amazing!! I would love to win one of these!! I love breastfeeding my son! Its the best part of my day!
I would love to win one of these prizes. As a breastfeeding mom of a 6 month old who works full-time, I can’t afford useful things like these. Anything that would make my life just a little easier with BFing would be nice in these hard times. I have struggled a lot with it but refuse to give up!
Society needs to be educated and aware of all the benefits breastfeeding brings for both babies and mommas. Breastfeeding goes WAY beyond feeding your child. The nurturing experience alone is one of the most gratifying aspects of doing so. If it weren’t for sites like this, I would have given up long ago. I never realized how hard it could be. Even through the struggle I educated myself and chose to follow my determination of exclusively breastfeeding. And that needs to be OK with society. The only way breastfeeding will become the norm, let alone acceptable to society, is if awareness is fostered by us strong, amazing, breastfeeding women!
After those first few months it gets so much easier! 11 months going strong!
This is a fantastic giveaway from some amazing companies!!
This is such a wonderful giveaway to support breastfeeding! It has all the essentials for a new and experienced mama!
I am successfully exclusively breastfeeding my first of 3 babies after having two failures under my belt. Even with a. Milk protein allergy and a strict diet of no dairy, soy or beef I persevere! I feel empowered and I will continue to give my little girl this beautiful gift for as long as I can!
this is a wonderful opportunity for all breastfeeding and soon to be breastfeeding mamas! thank you for all you do!
This has a ton of items from my wishlist! Would love it.
Squeeeeee!
What an awesome giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity to participate!
I love TLB! It’s a wonderful support for breastfeeding moms!
If it wasn’t for the support (both in person and online), I don’t think I would’ve made it to 25 months with my first and through the first two months (so far) with my second! Raising awareness everywhere we go and giving support to all mamas who need it!
Thanks for the great information you provide. Thanks for giving us confidence and support. Keep doing what you are doing, we appreciate it!
I just hit 12 months of breastfeeding my son and we’re still going strong! I’m so proud of our accomplishment and we were only able to do it because of awesome support and encouragement from other mamas and tips/tricks on how to troubleshoot issues as we went along. Breastfeeding is an amazing thing to share (not just between mama and baby but it’s important to share it far and wide to help normalize it again in our society which equates boobs with such different ideas than feeding baby). That is why things like WBW are so amazing!
So excited.
Wow, awesome give-a-way! Thanks, Leeky Boob!
So excited about this giveaway!
Oh my gosh, these prize packs are amazing!! I think it goes without saying that I would LOVE to win!! 😀
I love breastfeeding! that being said, I am the only one in my immediate circle that does it. I receive a lot ofcrapfor bf and even more for extended bf. I was skeptical to start in the first place but SO glad I did! We need to raise awareness so others will be more open minded to it.
I am so excited to see this contest and even more excited to see the movement to naturalize breast feeding to the public. When I breast fed my daughter I was super shy and didn’t want to discuss the longevity of my nursing, I didn’t nurse in public I would go sit in my car in fear of rude comments or stares.a Now that I am breast feeding my twins I have gained the confidence to not e shy about my breast feeding goals. When they are hungry they eat. I don’t worry about running out to my hot car or hiding out in a room missing out on visiting people. So thank you for this awareness and celebration of the most natural way to feed our babies:)
Telling a woman that it isn’t easy and to
Stick with it!
I’m a BFing momma of my 3rd boy who is 6 mo old. I’m such a strong believer in BFing and encourage as many as I can to try and I try to help with my knowledge as much as I can. I love this website and I’m so excited for this contest!
Great giveaway 🙂
The most awesome support for breastfeeding mamas and pregnant expecting mamas and now the most amazing and relevant prizes a mommy could ask for!!! Thanks leaky boob!
I just wanted to say I love being a part of such an awesome community!
Keep up the great work
These packages are incredible and will definitely help with making breast feeding so much easier!
I would love to win!
I think that support is essential in the breastfeeding journey. It can make the difference in a mom’s decision to breastfeed or not.
I’ve had some ups and downs with breastfeeding but I know I’m trying my best for my little one. So we are keeping at it!!
Would love the carriers. The rest I would share
I support breastfeeding by posting information about breastfeeding on my fb and twitter pages, in an attempt to normalize conversation about it. I also support my mom friends who are new moms with encouragement, texts, and giving helpful tips about nursing.
Happy WBW!
Happy breastfeeding week to all the mamas!
Would most likely not have been successful breastfeeding if not for my 2 “breasties”! (Mamas with LOs who offered consistent support and answers to my questions no matter the time of day.
4 months EBF!
I support bfing in many ways; by example, around friends & family & am an open book for tips & support!
I love this giveaway!! Please pick me!
What a great contest with so many amazing prizes!
Thanks to the support and encouragement of my local Monday Morning Moms and La Leche League chapters and from Facebook groups including The Leaky Boob, I met my goal of breast feeding my son for a full year (even with going back to work full-time) and have decided to breastfeed until my son decides to stop. During the past year, I have met (in person and online) so many moms who have been supported and encouraged this way.
Keep up the great work!
Excited about these awesome prize packs! I’m due with #2 in January (and still BF #1!) so they would certainly come in handy!!!
I’m part of our local LLL group. I’m constantly encouraging & offering support wherever & whenever I can!
I love The Leaky Boob. It has been a great form of support the last six months!
Not sure if am posting this in the correct place or even answering the question correctly. But I support raising awareness of breastfeeding and encouraging others to breastfeed by: by breastfeeding my daughter, sharing information that supports breastfeeding and just be supportive to everyone who decides to breastfed their child and give encourgement to those that are having a bit of a hard time with it.
I’m so excited about these giveaways!!!
As a new mom, breast feeding was one of the hardest parts about adjusting to motherhood. I am so thankful for all of the random people (that I never expected) who helped support me to continue breastfeeding for 18 months with my first child. After this experience, I have tried to become an advocate and support person for anyone in my social circle who wants to breastfeed. I feel like all breastfeeding moms share a special bond. It has been such an amazing experience!
What a great way to celebrate WBW!
Happy National Breastfeeding Week!!!! So exciting!!
I am currently breastfeeding my son who is 3 weeks.. I only lasted 2-3 months with both my daughtrs.. I’m hoping with the support of others and this page ill be able to go much longer
Awesome!
What an amazing giveaway! Plenty to keep and share with others, too!
I love all the support we get from the breastfeeding community. Definitely helps make it such a better and rewarding feeling! Thank you so much.
Awesome giveaway!
My city has started an new breast feeding support for nursing in public. It is great to get and give support from strangers in the same boat as you.
It is obvious that our society as a whole needs more education on breastfeeding and it needs to become the norm. When I had my first son I was so scared to nurse in public because I had never even seen a woman nurse her baby. I was 27. My husband made it normal for me by making sure that I never felt unwelcome anywhere because of the face that I had to nurse my baby, and he would point out other moms nursing their babies to show me that it was NORMAL and no big deal. With my second I was much more comfortable and I owe it all to him. It should not have had to be like that, everyone should know how a boob works and what it is made for and people should not be made to feel uncomfortable for following natures design. That is why I love the Leaky Boob.
I think its great the work people are doing to try and promote breast feeding. Can’t believe how hard people have to fight for something that is so natural and healthy for babies and children. Keep up the good work everyone 🙂
I love how you shar e all the information on breastfeeding. With baby #3 coming in a few days I hope that the 3rd time will work. I have been doing all the research I can and it is awesome to have a place of encouragement and support! Thankyou for all you do! This giveaway is awesome! 🙂
“World Breastfeeding Week” is something I would have never thought twice about 2 years ago. My first nursing adventure ended in a series of booby traps and false information at 3 months. When my girl was 9 months old, I found out I was expecting again. I spent the ENTIRE pregnancy reading books, following blogs, and scouring facebook pages for guidance and support. When my baby was 8 months old, I enrolled in school full-time, pumping and avoiding any ‘suggestions’ to stop or introduce formula. We are now going strong at 15 months of breastfeeding, I am about to start my 3rd semester in school full-time, and intend on pursuing a career of post-partum nurse/Lactation Consultant. My friends (and even acquaintances) message me for advice or ideas, and I feel like I’ve found my true passion — returning the support I’ve received from many wonderful people to others — to help them succeed in their breastfeeding journeys!
This is awesome. Yay for breastfeeding and yay for mothers supporting mothers!
Awesome prize packs!
Breastfeeding Rocks!!! 🙂
These prizes are amazing. I would love to share them with other nursing moms I know.
Being able to read posts daily of other Mothers experiences with breastfeeding has helped me better my breastfeeding relationship with my daughter. Thank you so much for your sites,
It is so important to have not only a support group, but a support group (including husband/partner) that supports nursing in public. Even if it’s with a cover. You have to be out and about you can’t just hide in your care or go back to your car or house each time baby needs to eat. 🙂
Omg whoever wins is one lucky momma
What an awesome giveaway! Brought me out of lurkdom, lol. I try to share my breastfeeding experience with new moms to encourage and support them. Before I started breastfeeding my daughter, I had never seen a women nursing a child, except in pictures. I’ve dealt with a pretty major lack of support from my mom, which really hurts sometimes. I’m also a working mom, so I feel like I have a good perspective on pumping, which I also try to share.
What an amazing selection of prizes 🙂
I would love to win for me and my 7month old!
I love breastfeeding week! The outpouring of support is wonderful!
It is paramount to the cause to normalize breast feeding in our society through public nursing, and advocacy. But supporting other moms in their journey (however it looks to you) is also of the utmost importance. Bring her a meal, be a shoulder to cry on, encourage and assure her that its okay to nurse her baby whenever and wherever she needs to.
Happy World Breastfeeding Week! Keep up the great work Mamas!!
MY little one is almost a month old and and we’ve had our ups and downs already with nursing. The Leaky Boob community has been a huge help and is a great way to find support with other breastfeeding mothers. Breastfeeding is beneficial to both mother and child but is certainly not easy, especially for the first time mother. All the help and advice is a great resource for any mother or mother to be.
I’m so excited for this giveaway!! Woohoo for breastfeeding week. I’m excited to share with other moms about this precious journey.
thank you for all the help and support your site gives to BFing moms.. this is my second child and my second attempt at BFing.. and the first time we have had success.. it is so much harder than one would think and sites like yours help moms like me succeed!
So excited it Breastfeeding week i can bombard my facebook page with all the wonderfull info i get from your page and others like it– I am the first of my friends to sucessfully breastfeed without supplementing for 5 months and hope to go on for a year when the time comes i hope to be there to support them in their breastfeeding journey —
Thank you so much for offering real support to moms who wish to breastfeed!
The Leaky Boob has pointed me in the right direction or answered my questions so many times in my 11 month (so far) journey of breastfeeding. Thank you!
This is an amazing giveaway! I’d love to win but whoever does is a a lucky lady! Great gifts! Thank you!!
Wow, this is fantastic! Thanks for everything you all do for breastfeeding support. Without online groups, I’m not sure I’d be nursing today. 🙂
All these products look absolutely amazing! <3
The leaky boob rocks! You guys are awesome! You have helped me tremendously through my breastfeeding adventure and kept me chugging along with confidence through good times and in bad. Breastfeeding can be a struggle at times but persistency is the key. Here’s a shout out to all
you mommas who have had a C section and Breastfed. Way to go! Keep up the good work and turn to Tge Leaky Boob for your unanswered questions. Don’t give up!
I refer to this blog often for support with breastfeeding issues. I especially loved the recent post on modesty and the Bible in regards to breastfeeding. Keep up the good work! My hope is that breastfeeding will be the expected norm, and formula becoming rare.
Happy Breastfeeding Week to all!! Very cool prizes 🙂
I try to encourage new moms to at least give a try, any bit is beneficial to baby. I nursed mine until 23 months and will share with anyone who wants to know!
I have breastfed all 3 of my children, and currently the third is my 7 month old nursling. Nursing was the best choice I’ve made as a mother!
Amazing giveaway! Love all the work that you do for breastfeeding moms!
Thank you for the chance to win such a great package as well as all the support you have all offered myself and many others during our breast feeding relationships.
Wow!! This has got to be the best giveaway ever!!!! Thanks so much!! X x
What an amazing giveaway! I am a breastfeeding mom of two and I hope that this World Breastfeeding Week can bring awareness to the wonders of nursing! More support is needed, especially for new moms. I nursed my oldest until he was 19 months and I was 22 weeks pregnant with baby boy number two. He’s currently almost 8 months and still nursing. I wouldn’t have made it as far without the great support from The Leaky Boob! thank you!
I think it can be useful to share your breastfeeding goals with those close to you and involved in your child’s care. This way everyone is on the same page. I post frequently on FB about nursing and have reached out to expectant moms I know to let them know I am available if they have questions. I was surprised how many responses I got and how many felt more confident to nurse after having asked questions.
This is so awesome! I’m a first time mom and am super excited for my first bf week as a bf mom!
I hope I win!
I was so happy to find The Leaky Boob! I had a fair amount of support, but when I started having an oversupply, my network couldn’t really help. The network of mamas here helped me through. I’ve also surpassed my goal of 1 year, and am still going strong at 16 months.
Without support, I never would have been able to nurse my preterm son. We are still nursing at 17 months!
I would love to win!
Currently pregnant with our 2nd and still bfing our 25mo daughter, so one of these amazing stashes could definitely come in handy! And love the goal of mother-to-mother support – that is what we all need when the going gets tough 🙂
Happy Breastfeeding week — what an awesome giveaway!!
Wow, what a great package from some amazing companies!! I’ll be having a baby this October so it’ll all come in so handy!!
I commented! Exciting giveaways! Fitting for my one month old!
I hope I can win a package. I am currently breast feeding my daughter, who is only three weeks old today! My supply is low right now so hopefully the fenugreek & reglan will help. I want my daughter to have the best nutrition & health possible. 🙂
Holy giveaway Batman! This is exciting!
Wow this is an amazing prize pack!! Would love to win (especially as I’ve got baby #2 on the way!)
I loved breastfeeding my first baby (now 2.5 years old). We just found out that we are expecting number 2 and I’m so excited to start a nursing relationship with his new little bean. Winning one of these giveaway packages would be so awesome right now. The support from fellow breastfeeding moms was so important I me while I nursed my first and I’m sure it’ll be just as important for this next nursing adventure. Thanks to reading late night posts on TLB Facebook page I stayed at least somewhat same during late night feelings. Hooray Leakies 🙂
Support for moms is a huge deal. With my first two, I didn’t BF very long because I had no support. My next two I BF much longer, past two years for one. With my new baby, we’ll go as long as the baby wants! Mommas, you can do this!
Wow, would love to win!!
I love these packages! I never would have thought I’d bf this long and I have this awesome online community to thank for so much encouragement! 13 months and still going strong!!
Way to go all you mama’s out there who are nursing their little ones! Yay to breast feeding awareness week!!!!
This is a great opportunity to get geared up for this next babe on the way! Thank you for supporting breast feeding mothers!
I so want a Hygeia. I really hope i win. Thank you for all you do to encourage breastfeeding! It’s great to have such a fantastic resource available.
Would be so excited if I won
Awareness is important! I feel that many women feel that it is harder to Breastfed than bottlefeed. Which is the other way around. We need awareness so it becomes normal again!
Wonderful giveaway!! Thank you! Really wish I saw more breastfeeding moms here in Miami… Normalize breastfeeding!
Breast feeding is the perfect food for our babies and it’s such a beautiful and relaxing thing to do… It saddens me that there is so much social stigma for Mama’s who do it in piblic!
I make sure to use gentle, positive language when talking with a mom new to breastfeeding. I give advice only when asked so as not to offend, and make sure she knows she’s doing wonderfully!
I am a proud breastfeeding mom of four-month-old b/g twins!!
So proud to be a breastfeeding momma and thankful for groups, events like this! Happy Breastfeeding Week!!!!!!!!!!!
I think one of the best ways to support breastfeeding moms is to normalize it: just do it! The more people see it, the more it becomes commonplace, and the more comfortable everybody will be!
As a l&d nurse I understand the importance of good knowledge and education for BF women. Especially those with limited or no support at home. I recommend the leaky boob to lots of people!!
What a great giveaway!
What a great giveaway!
I am currently breastfeeding my 3 month old twins and would not have been able to do it without the support of my husband, family, friends, and hospital staff. It is so so incredibly hard, but it becomes easier and more rewarding by the day. There is nothing like the bond that nursing creates!
Awesome! So excited!
If breastfeeding moms have more support from the community, I feel like more moms would 1. breastfeed instead of formula feed, 2. nurse in public without shame 3. allow babies to self wean.
As a new doula (and bfing mom of a 14-month-old) I would love to win one of these packages to share the goodies with my clients!!!
I love breastfeeding and wish that I was more educated to have breastfed my first two kids
So excited about this giveaway & world breast feeding week 🙂
Having support from other mothers is super helpful when trying to breastfeed. With my first, she wouldn’t latch. I had no support and I didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t realize I had flat nipples and I ended up not being able to breastfeed her. With my second, I tried so hard to research as much as possible and talk to other mamma’s who were able to breastfeed and have them on hand for any questions I might have with my second. We had a rocky start, with jaundice and a broken collar bone and colic, but I pushed through with their help and over 7 months later I am still going strong. Mom to mom support is imperative!
Awesome giveaway! Very exciting!
What an awesome giveaway! Thank you for hosting! And thank you for all the support your blog provides to all the mamas who breastfeed their babies!
How fun! I love giveaways but especially when they support my lifestyle decisions. WOOT!
Support is everything, for a FTM knowing that you aren’t alone with your struggles is so important. I had people to reach out to, whereas I know not everyone does. Having groups like this to spread awareness and offer support may make or break it for some moms breastfeeding. Thanks for a great site!
I think it’s awesome that you are doing this giveaway.
I love breastfeeding! I try to share my experiences with other moms and talk to the when they are struggling or having other bfing issues
I have been nursing my oldest for 2 1/2 yrs now! I can’t believe it has been so long and it is communities like this that allowed me to know it was ok. Hope my five month olds will be as lucky!
I would love to win some prizes. We have come a long way, longer than I thought. 6Mo + of ebf and it is because we found the right groups and internet pages like this one to help us along the way.
I would love love love!! to win package #1!! After 2.5 years of bf my first baby I am headed for burn out! (And he’s not stopping any time soon!) This would help to reignite the bf passion!!
this is such an amazing giveaway! so grateful for the information and support here!
You guys are so awesome for doing this for us breastfeeding moms, I know there are plenty of women who could use all this stuff but don’t necessarily have the money for it; so thank you for everything you do!
This would be amazing! I’m so excited to prepare to breast feed my second! I didn’t have the knowledge and support with my first.
I would love to win!
Proudly exclusively breastfeeding my twins for 9 mos now with the support of some great groups like these.
What a great giveaway! We have another baby on the way now so it would be great to win.
What an amazing giveaway!!
I have been making an effort to say positive words to mothers I see NIP. I was always nervous to with my first and words of encouragement also helped me through!
I posted it! http://pinterest.com/pin/368943394444359428/
What an incredible giveaway! Thanks for putting this on!
I would have never made it past three days without my lactation consultant. Also, the online resources have helped me with every question I ever had.
WBW is wonderful & I’m so glad to see so many people & businesses getting out there to build awareness! Our BF journey has been a bit of a struggle, but worth every minute! Lets do this Mamas!!!!
Hi all just wanted to share my entry for World Breastfeeding Week Blog Carnival, all about my experience as a new nursing mother and the people who helped us and the challenges we faced!
http://ohthesimplejoys.wordpress.com/2013/07/31/uncharted-territory-breastfeeding/
I’m breastfeeding my 2nd lo and if it weren’t for the support I my husband I wouldn’t have made it 15 months with my first! I plan on going at least that far with this little guy!!! Don’t give up momma’s!!!!! You can do it!!!
Both of these prize packages are so completely inclusive and showcase such support for breastfeeding moms everywhere! How awesome is this?!
AMAZING giveaway! I checked out both prize packages when breast feeding my 9 month old.
I am so glad for this in the month my baby girl is due to arrive!
Ilove all the moms and the topics of leakyboob! Amazing!!
Encouragement and support are the most important things when breast feeding! Way to go Mom’s!!
What great giveaways!! I’ve gotten such great information from the blog and the facebook page–it’s really comforting to know that there are over 100,000 people from around the world with such a wide variety of experiences to draw from as a resource for help! 🙂 And of course I try to help when I can too! 🙂 Thanks for being a great place of support!
You weren’t kidding with this giveaway! Your site has been so helpful for myself and my BFF who is expecting her second & is ready to give EBF another shot after trouble with her first 🙂

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! Just want to let you know of my share on my blog:
http://redfreckledmomster.wordpress.com/2013/08/01/its-world-breastfeeding-week-yay-for-giveaways/
Good luck y’all!!
I am so blessed to be surrounded by wise and supportive women who have boosted me along my breastfeeding and child-raising journey. I hope to be that support for others as well! Love The Leaky Boob! Thank you for all you do for the breastfeeding community.
Support from other mothers and from the medical community has been essential in my success as a breastfeeding mother. Having other nursing mom friends has made nursing in public so much more comfortable for me and I’m glad I’m not scared to nourish my son, no matter where we are! He is 14 months old and we are still going strong with no plans of stopping. 🙂
My daughter was born with a birth defect that made it impossible to bottle feed her (she choked from the fast flow of the nipples), which now, in retrospect, we are so thankful for. That really affected how we parent our children, including exclusively breastfeeding. I am convinced that breastfeeding her has also played a roll in how well she’s recovered from her birth condition. Now I’m breastfeeding her little brother, and again so thankful that we are breastfeeding. It has really helped me deal with some mild postpartum depression, and just bonding with him in general. As well as a bond for the two of them, as they do tandem nurse sometimes.
This is a wonderful giveaway! I would love to win, but am just happy to know that some lucky nursing mamas are going to benefit from this! Thank you!!!
Love this give away! I’m pregnant with our 2nd right now and I would love all these goodies to get started on the right “boob!” Thank you for a wonderful give away!!
I recently heard about the Big Latch On. I love that so many women get together for a common goal to support breastfeeding.
I am so glad I get to participate in world breast feeding week! I had to exclusively pump for my son for the first 4.5mo of his life, but I was successfully able to switch to EBF and one month from tomorrow was the last time I gave him a bottle!
I have found some great advice on here. It has also made me feel like people are starting to become a little more comfortable with breastfeeding and seeing it for what it really is. Thanks for creating a space where it is easy to speak your mind and people are very respectful.
What a great giveaway for a great celebration!
I’m really excited about this give away!
It is great when breastfeeding is talked about because so many women struggle with it and are not encouraged to continue and are not aware they are not the only ones with the problem. Thank you Leaky Boob and other giveaways!!
How exciting!
This looks like an incredible giveaway!
First time mama-to-be would love to score these awesome goodies!
Eeek! What wonderful prizes!! 🙂
I am super excited about this world breastfeeding event and proud to participate!
Great give aways! Still breastfeeding my 1 year old and love it so much I am trying to get into lactation consultant work. I really want to help other mums especially as we have had all sorts or struggles. Also always trying to promote breastfeeding as much as I can 2 try 2 normalise breastfeeding as much as possible
I have just quietly breastfed my son in front of friends and family. Some have said how they aren’t sure if they would ever breastfeed, but that I was the first person they’ve seen breastfeed that doesn’t make it look like a huge inconvenience. Hopefully I will encourage at least one of them to try it when they have a child.
This is awesome! Amazing giveaway in honor of world breastfeeding week!
It is so great to have a website like yours to encourage and support breastfeeding! I had a very hard time getting my first to latch and was so stressed out for the first 2mo this trying to feed him, I used blogs and support pages similar to this one to find encouragment to keep going. We lasted a year I’m happy to say! Now I am happily feeding number 2 with great success and much less stress! What a great opportunity your giving a bf-ing mom a chance to win such great products!!
I love The Leaky Boob!
This is the best giveaway I’ve ever seen!!!
Awesome giveaway! Fingers crossed, baby due in November!
wow..what an awesome giveaway!!
What great gifts. Here’s hoping I have some luck with one of my absolute favorite bloggers, Leaky Boob.
I love breast feeding my son. We share a special bond and I know mom giving him the best food out there!
With new baby on the way, I’d love to win one of these packages!!! 🙂 So exciting!
I support and encourage breastfeeding by nursing in public, meeting my baby’s needs immediately and exposing and normalizing breastfeeding.
Yay for giveaways. Yay for breastfeeding mothers! Yay for community and support!
How cool! This will certainly raise awareness about breastfeeding for those who see and share! I am exclusively breast feeding for going on four months now, and it is wonderful! It gets difficult at times, my son likes to squirm and see the world. But with as far as we’ve gotten and how difficult it’s been, I’m too proud to stop! I plan on going until he is two, at least! Breast milk is liquid gold, and I love to give my baby boy the best! If any mommas have a hard time, keep it up! It’s worth it!
This is awesome!
Breastfeeding awareness is important to other brestfeeding moms. It’s a silent support for our right to feed our babies where ever/whenever they are hungry. I am a proud, currently nusring mom 🙂
What an awesome give away! I’d love to win package #2!!!
I love participating in my local LLL and I’m even working toward becoming a LLL leader. We actually have a meeting tonight and I get to meet a new mom who is struggling and hopefully get things moving in the right direction for the two of them. 🙂 I’m so exited to see all these wonderful breastfeeding mamas.
Sharing your great giveaways!

Holy canoli! These packages are saaaweeet! Happy World Breastfeeding Week to everyone 🙂
Thank you for having this blog
Just share your experiences with breast feeding with those moms who may be on the fence. First time moms can be scared off by horror stories. It is our job as experienced nursers to help alleviate those fears.
I love reading everything on here, it is so encouraging. I never thought I would be as passionate as I am about Breastfeeding. I wouldn’t even be here, still Breastfeeding, if it wasn’t for my husband, he was there every time I thought and couldn’t do it, gave me food during growth spurts when I couldn’t even get out of the chair long enough to eat, and even did middle of the night feelings with my daughter. She would wake up crying, he would get her bring her to bed and wake me up enough to have me pull my shirt down. Then she would nurse and he would sit there until she was done and put her back to bed. Eventually we just bed shared (why we didn’t try it sooner, I’ll never know!) but he was amazing! I hope everyone has someone like my husband in their life and if they don’t I am thankful they have the leaky boob 🙂
Breastfeeding is one of the most rewarding parts of being a mother. It is hard at the beginning, but it gets much easier with time. The confidence that you gain from knowing that your body is nourishing your baby is indescribable. It’s important that breast feeding mothers stick together and support each other in any and all circumstances because this is one of the most important things that we can do for our children from the very beginning, and every mother deserves 100% support.
Amazing products!
What wonderful packages. Yay world breastfeeding week!
Awesome prize packages!! Love all of the great info!!
Support of a Breastfeeding mom is extremely important for the success of the adventure for the mom and baby. I grew up going to LeLeche League meetings and was lucky enough to be surrounded by many women who Breastfed. I admit I was amazed and shocked when my husband told me I would be breastfeeding our future children, this was the first time I had really experienced a man take a stance for breastfeeding! I think I fell more in love with him that day! I was also excited to learn that his whole family all breastfed. I was very excited when his grandma asked me how breastfeeding was going (my grandma bottle fed her children). All of that exposure I believe made all of the difference in my own breastfeeding adventure! I amazed my nurses, midwives, lactation consultants and my daughters Doctor with my knowledge of breastfeeding and my ability to overcome some obstacles. Like overcoming reflux without medicating my newborn. Having the availability to follow the leakyboob and other such pages on facebook and twitter is also a huge help… I see a post and think WOW I am not the only one to experience that. It is a sense of wonderment. As I find out more of my friends plan to breastfeed or do breastfeed I get excited and can’t wait to talk to them about it! It is very exciting to see so many young moms choose the best food for their babies!
Mommies can have a rough start to breastfeed. Don’t give up! You can do it. :). It’s the best for baby. Lets show this world how its suppose to be. Stay boob strong! 🙂
What a fantastic giveaway! I’d love to be the winner! Thank you
I have a few blog posts about my tips/tricks for working moms to figure out pumping at work and sharing the many reasons I love nursing/mommy groups for getting the hang of nursing!
What an amazing giveaway! I would love to win it and share some of it with my 3 relatives and friends who are all breast feeding too!
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! I am currently 6 months pregnant and continue to nurse my two year old. It has been one of the best experiences of my life.
Some people have the nerve to say it’s illegal (!) to breastfeed here in public. Yeah right! I’m sorry, good sir, but I believe you have it BACKWARDS. It is illegal if I ‘don’t’ feed my precious babe. I think that’s called neglect. Get your head on right. Normalize breastfeeding!!!! Mama’s milk is best.
How exciting!
I believe there are TWO important ways to raise awareness for breastfeeding:
1) education– the value needs to be taught in schools, hung on billboards, talked about at the playground, and shared at every doctor’s appointment. (nutrition, antibodies, bonding, reduced asthma and allergies, fewer: ear infections and bouts of diarrhea and respiratory illness, higher IQ, lower obesity rates, prevention of SIDS, etc) but also benefits for MAMA! (burning calories, uterine contractions help it go back to pre-pregnancy size, lower risk of breast and ovarian cancer and perhaps even osteoporiasis)
2) More women need to do it modestly and publicly. People need to get used to the site of women feeding their children modestly. I ALWAYS use a cover and do everything I can do be modest. It is my opinion that women who breastfeed without doing their best to be modest actually HURT the cause.
Such a great point about modesty I completely agree!
Great giveaway!!! Such wonderful products. It’s great to see so many people and companies who support breastfeeding 🙂
There are some wonderful products now on the market that truly help with being able to breastfeed.
I would love some of this awesome BF gear!
you guys are the best support for breastfeeding mamas!

All of this is awesome! Thank you for putting it all together!
What a great giveaway! Thanks Leaky Boob!
1st This is an awesome give away.
2nd the collective knowledge of online breastfeedinging communities empowered me to nurse my son until after his 4th birthday. 🙂 this baby the online community has encouraged and empowered me to share my extra milk with moms and babies in need. 🙂
Breastfeeding is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done in my life, and I wouldn’t have succeeded without all of the support and information available on The Leaky Boob!
Tandem nursing
I am a new mom of a beautiful 7 week old daughter. I truly believe my decision to breastfeed is one of the best parenting decisions I have made.
As a new mother to an almost 5 month old, my breastfeeding experience has been fairly easy and enjoyable, for which I am so grateful. I am now an advocate for raising educating my fellow mothers of the benefits, and supporting those who are breastfeeding, along with those who can’t for whatever reason.
This is fantastic! Such a great opportunity for breastfeeding moms and also a great way for moms to get started into breastfeeding. I am so excited for this because my son is due August 9th so this falls perfectly to start right into my breastfeeding adventure.:)
Breastfeeding has been amazing for me and my now 19 month old daughter (still going strong!) The hospital my daughter was born at now does skin to skin contact immediately and keeps the baby in the room with mom, instead of the nursery to encourage breastfeeding! This is awesome and helped us form a strong bond in the beginning!
What a great giveaway! So many wonderful items to help a mom feel more comfortable breastfeeding!
These prize packs look amazing!!!
How awesome of a giveaway this is and how awesome are you ladies!!! Happy World Breastfeeding Awareness Week!!!
I had a really difficult nursing relationship with my first child due to some time in the NICU and low supply issues. I am currently nursing my 5 week old and it couldn’t be better! I was so nervous that we’d have similar issues this time around and it was sites and groups like the Leaky Boob that gave me more confidence this time around. Thank you!!!
I am currently nursing my 22 month old son. I love to raise awareness by breastfeeing in public. I also am training to be a midwife and love to help moms with breastfeeding.
By feeding wherever you need to without being ashamed! To normalise breastfeeding. It is not a shameful act only to be done in private it is beautiful & natural & the best nourishment for baby 🙂
Although I am not currently breastfeeding, I can’t wait for this new little one to join me in December. I am going to rock it this time… and I have already been considering many of the products in these giveaway packs.
Great prize pack! Thanks!
LOVE this week every year!! Great way to get the word out and support other BFing mamas out there!
Just found out I’m expecting #4… This is perfect timing!
Both packages sound amazing!
I have 6 kids and have proudly breastfed every one of them at home and in public without reservation. My youngest is 8 months and I nurse her everyday in her carrier and my older kids are always proud of me that I’m so natural about it! I’m so glad to have this site to go to and see all the positive and encouraging posts, it helps make breast feeding more confidant and comfortable so, thanks! 🙂
Thank you ! These are fab prizes!!
Wonderful giveaway! I’m breastfeeding my third, and hope to have a 4th to breastfeed in the not too distant future!
Awesome contest!
I would be honored to win one of these packages. I try to do the best for my babies by feeding them for a year. .

Thank you for the amazing giveaways! Love your blog.
Such fantastic prizes!! Good luck everyone
I am excited about the giveaway!!!
I try to give nursing supplies to expecting mommas as shower gifts, and I talk openly about bf-ing joys and woes to all the younger ladies in my life, including pregnant friends and cousins. Their minds are opening a bit at a time, and I’m so happy for them!
Sport is vital with breast feeding. My husband is incredibly supportive which is how I get through the tough parts.
i’m so glad we have world breastfeeding week-we should have nothing but awareness & support-we are providing our child with food not doing anything shameful.
The Leaky Boob helped answer to many of my questions as a new nursing mom with my first I am forever grateful!
I couldn’t have found these excellent resources at a better time, I have a 5 week old and have had so much trouble with multiple infections and am determined to not give up. I want what’s best for my baby! Glad to have support from this online community, and find what I’m going through to be normal, and we will survive!
I think that sharing your stories and all of the information on this site is wonderful for breastfeeding moms. I have had a rough time breastfeeding both of my children. Currently, I have to supplement for my 3 month old daughter, but even at 3 months and supplementation this is longer than I was able to nurse my son. This is at least partly due to the support and knowledge on this site, as well as other sites similar to this. I’m so grateful that you are here to help me through this! 🙂
This looks amazing!
I’m currently nursing my fourth child, and I love this giveaway!
Wow what a giveaway! Further reason to love breast feeding!
National Breastfeeding Week could not be more timely this year. Nursing my 2nd, but struggling with working and pumping, and not being able to pump enough to keep up with what she needs, I was debating throwing in the towel at 7 months.
I made it to 10 months with my 1st, before my supply dropped to the point that she stopped asking to nurse.
So, with a new sense of purpose, I renew my goal to make it to a year (and we’ll take it from there).
We can support and encourage breast feeding moms by helping them to feel comfortable nursing in public. And by nursing in public ourselves!
I am breastfeeding my 12 week old & am planning on doing it for the whole 12 months this time. I like being ankle to see others questions& answers & be encouraged from them!
I’m still breastfeeding my 19 month old and I’m so thankful for the online support of the Leaky Boob!
Breastfeeding 1, now 2 kids for the past 2 years and no stopping in sight! Thanks, Leaky Boob for all the encouragement and answered questions you’ve provided!
It is hard enough to BF…winning some wonderful products that help support Mom in process would be wonderful!
I have breastfed all three of my kids to varying degrees of success and look forward to doing so again with my fourth 🙂 able to gain more confidence and support each time. This giveaway is amazing and would be the icing on the cake of my bread feeding journey 🙂
If it weren’t for the leaky boob we wouldn’t have made it to 14 months breast feeding (& still going)!
Amazing prizes!!!!
Support is crucial for breastfeeding success!
Exclusively BFing my daughter for 14 months and now pregnant with second child. I would LOVE to win either of these packages to help start out again with #2!!
This looks great! I am a new mom-to-be (expecting my first in December), and the leaky boob has been a fantastic resource as I try to learn all I can in preparation for baby’s arrival!
Support is so important!! My husband has been a big supporter to me thankfully! I ebf my daughter till she was 6 months old and will continue to breast feed her as long as possible. She is now 7 months and we are trying some solids, mainly because she has expressed interest. It’s been hard with family because they want to give her everything, and are kinda wondering why I still breast feed. So please be supportive to mothers! It’s their decision!!
What great products! I really enjoy all the great insight and info you provide.
I have been breastfeeding for 30 months DD until 25 mo old and now DS 5 months old. They overlapped by 2 weeks. I looked to sites and blogs like these for encouragement and support and I love to pay it forward. Thank you for such amazing giveaways and prizes!
Love this. funny I am entering this with baby on the boob.
I raise awareness simply by talking about it often. The more it’s part of normal conversation, the more normal it will be!
Winning this giveaway would be INCREDIBLE! 🙂
Thanks for the great giveaway!!
Yay for breastfeeding week!
I have turned to the Leaky Boob many times over the past 3 1/2 months of breastfeeding my second daughter. I didn’t BF my first born and really wish I would have. I didn’t feel like I had the support like I do now and it’s all thanks to BFing mamas that are willing to share their experiences and advice to help others be successful! Thank you Leaky Boob for giving an outlet for newbies like me!! 🙂 I am an EBF and NIP mama thanks to you!!
Blogs like The Leaky Boob were really helpful as support while I was breastfeeding my first child, but I never would have made it nursing so long the first go ’round, or been so determined to do it again with the baby now in my belly, if it hadn’t been for the constant support of my husband and the help of the lactation consultant that my midwife sent to my house free of charge after my son was born. Hooray for amazing breastfeeding professionals and even more amazing spouses! 🙂
Thank you for doing this giveaway and always providing great info!
I help other moms by being willing to breastfeed in public! I hope that other moms who feel nervous, see that it is ok. I also am a HUGE advocate for it. I love you and everything you do for us bfing mommas!
I support breastfeeding by sharing my (difficult) experience. I think it empowers women who think they can’t do it, to try a little harder. I also try, in a “non-pushy” way to share some facts about the nutrition with anyone who seems vaguely interested.
I think that support is important not only for the women who are breastfeeding, but for women who want to breastfeed. If the information is out there, women can use science to back up their choice.
This is the most amazing giveaway I’ve seen. It’s gotten everything a breastfeeding mom could ever want. I’m a first time mom due this fall and would love to win!
This is such an awesome giveaway. So grateful for the work LB does to promote breastfeeding as well as make nursing moms feel empowered! Keep on keepin on!
This is such an awesome opportunity and would love to win either of this!! I’m a new mom to a 7mo old and we’ve been exclusively breastfeeding since birth! 🙂
i try to help support moms by being involved in my local LLL facebook group. i know how much that helped me, in addition to finding the leaky boob and kellymom.com
21 Mother Of 2 And Feeling Blessed That Im Breat Feeding!!! Did Not With MyDaughter Because I Was Si Yound With Not Alot Of Support
Thankful for The Leaky Boob for giving me breastfeeding support I did not get with my first daughter, it has given me so much confidence with my second daughter!
It’s a great connection between mother and infant and it’s so healthy for the baby!
Wow what generous donors! Thank you so much for your Facebook group and for keeping this blog. I’ve struggled with breastfeeding and find a lot of comfort in the online breastfeeding community.
What an amazing giveaway! If I would be so lucky to win that would be amazing. I will be looking up some of these products to try on my own though 🙂 Wow!
Wow, what amazing packages. I am still nursing my toddler and will have a new baby to nurse in December. The Leaky Boob has been a great resource to give me to the confidence to nurse my babies. Very few people in my family have nursed at all and no one past the newborn stage.
This is an amazing giveaway! I want in on the swag.
I’ve shared my love for breastfeeding with many ladies, and even shared how hard it has been for me. I nursed my first for 22 months through MSPI so severe I couldn’t even have red meat or anything cooked on the same equipment. I’m 15 months into nursing my second, and she also had MSPI, in addition to allergies to egg, chicken, pork, and corn. It’s been a struggle, but I would do anything to make my babies happy and healthy!
I think raising awareness will help more new moms choose to breastfeed! I grew up in a breastfeeding family, but know that many others my age did not and have tons of questions about it, but shy away from asking others about it. I think online forums are great for that!
I would not have been able to continue my breastfeeding journey without the support of professionals and this group! You all have helped me more than you could imagine, and I so appreciate the advice I received. Whenever I wanted to give up , or thought it was too hard to continue, you and my lactation consultant kept me going. Now I have a big, beautiful, intelligent fourteen-month-old who is still going strong! Thank you so much!
Yay for Breastfeeding Month! I’m so lucky to know what it’s like to be a successful breastfeeding mother!
What a great giveaway and a useful site! Will be bookmarking this for future reference! Thanks!
What a phenomenal giveaway and fantastic way to celebrate WBW! As a someone who is still nursing an 18 month old and expecting another in november I can definitely put all of these goodies to good use.
Cannot wait to start breastfeeding when my little one arrives 8/25/13! The Leaky boob has opened my eyes to so many things!
If not for the support in my home and the support I sought out I wouldn’t still be breastfeeding today, 8 months later!
This is awesome. I’m breastfeeding my son who is 21/2 months old. my in-laws didn’t support me w/bf but I stood alone and refuse to stop, hope to continue bf.
Wow, this is amazing!
What a wonderful giveaway you are doing! I am currently breastfeeding my third son who is 7 weeks old. My first 2 were also breastfed, although not as long as I would have liked. My first gave it up completely by 8 months, and my supply dwindled down to nothing despite trying everything to boost it by 9 months. I’m hoping that this time around we can make it to a year and beyond. These packaged will definitely help with that. Thanks for the chance to win them!
This comes at an awesome time for me. I had a baby 3 months ago, I bought a really nice breast pump off of a friend who assured me that the pump had only been used a couple of times because she was given another one. So I spent the money on it believing her, 3 months later the hardly I am needing to go back to work and the breast pump is already dead, my insurance is State insurance so they don’t cover a new one and WIC will only provide a hand pump which won’t work for me with my work schedule. I want to continue to breastfeed my daughter but being without a job, and resources I cannot afford a breast pump so this would be an AMAZING thing to win.
I think that there are a lot of moms out there that for some reason or another cannot breast feed or that won’t because they may be just seeing it as no point when returning back to work. A lot of woman cannot afford the very nice expensive breast pumps, and wasting money on a cheaper one just is that a waste…
I hope that someone someday votes that ALL woman are given a FREE hospital grade breast pump no matter what their insurance is. I will continue to spread the word so maybe something gets done.
I think an encouraging smile to a bf stranger, being there for a friend or family member who is bf, being honest about my own struggles…. all these things help 🙂
This giveaway looks awesome…hope I win!
Like the old phrase says “A little goes a long way”. This is so true when it comes to encouraging moms who breastfeed, especially in public. You never know if that mom has been struggling with BFing or if this is her very 1st time NIP. Just a couple of words of encouragement could completely change her mood and give her confidence in what she’s doing, giving her baby the absolute best start in life!
I tried to bf with my first two and really had no good support except the nurse in the hospital looking at me like I wasn’t trying hard enough and that I was a failure for not getting it to work. The third time I had tremendous support through a wonderful mommies group I found and I BF my son for 16 months, I only stopped because I am now pregnant with my fourth and it got very uncomfortable. I look forward to making it work again.
My best friend is expecting her second child this winter. She was not successful breastfeeding her first, but we are already talking about what she can do to be successful this time around and I have, of course, sent her to The Leaky Boob for support and advice. Can’t wait to help her this time around 😀
I cannot wait to have that bond with my baby when it arrives. I always gain a sense of peace thinking about my baby snuggled up to me, knowing that it is getting exactly what it needs from my body.
Hope I win! What a great way to celebrate NBW!
Fantastic giveaway!
Rather than cringe at mothers nursing their babies, people should encourage them.
The Leaky Boob has been an amazing resource for women, including me! Where else can you post about boobs, nipple irritations, bite marks on your breasts, lumps, cysts and infections and have it be common place easily accepted conversation?! I absolutely love the level of love support and dedication that Jessica and her helpers have committed and contributed to this page, keep it up ladies!
Remember to follow your instincts!
I’d love to win a hospital grade pump. I go back to work next week and I’m not pumping well with the pump I bought. My insurance company didn’t cover breast pumps so I had to purchase my own. I couldn’t afford an expensive brand and my ability to pump has suffered because of it
Looking forward to using the tips from this site in the near future for breast feeding! As a first time mom, it’s so essential to have this kind of information!
The Leaky Boob has helped me so much. It is so great to know that there are other moms like me out there and to see how supportive those other moms are.
Breastfeeding is going so much better with my second little one. This is an awesome giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity!
I love this giveaway!
I check on this site and the FB wall daily while breastfeeding my little one. What a great site and fantastic contest!
What an amazing giveaway for breast feeding moms!!
I BF my first for 14 months and have just started the beautiful journey again with my precious 5 week old. Nothing is better than this time spent together!!
I am currently nursing my two month old. My first. We went through some major difficulties in that she wasn’t gaining weight fast enough for Dr. approval. Without the support of lactation consultants and the encouragement from online sources, it would have been a much more difficult road.
It would be awesome if I won, it would be an extra happy birthday surprise!
I love The Leaky B@@B! I like feeling I belong to this giant community of nursing women around the world!
I have learned so much from the Leaky B@@b!
I’m nursing my third girl. It’s amazing how all three nursing experiences have been so different with different issues & struggles each their own. I hope I’m someone my friends can come to for conversations about nursing.
So glad that my friend Misty told me about this. So awesome.
Love the support given, we are on baby #4 I have nursed for 38 months total so far and still going strong, love the bonding time with my lo!
Support is what has gotten me this far along my breast-feeding journey. I am a single mom and my daughter received a bottle in the hospital because the nurses thought they were helping me. Without websites like the leakyboob and LLL meetings I dont think my daughter would still be breastfed today.
Lol at breastfeeding moms and smile or give a weird of encouragement
I have been nursing for 36 months. ..10 of thoes tandem. I nurse in public and am outspoken about the many benifits of nursing.
Love these giveaways!
I believe talking about breastfeeding as a normal occurrence or about our fears is really important.
A good way to raise awareness is to just do it! Uncovered, covered, openly, privately – whatever works for you and baby. And don’t judge or make comments as another mother is feeding her baby in whatever way she feels she should.
As a first time mommy and first time breastfeed the Leaky Boob has offered so much support and education. Breastfeeding was hard at first but this website and perseverance has gotten us to 20 weeks! My family had been supportive but warned that my mother had “supply issues” starting at three months and had to supplement. I wish she had you guys! No supply issue here!
Winning this would be such a blessing! TLB has been so helpful during my breastfeeding journey. My daughter is almost 4 months, and I hope she’s EBF for many more!
What a great giveaway! Fingers crossed!
9 months & no end in sight! I <3 TLB! So helpful, real, & inspiring!
Breastfeeding is one of the best bonding experiences ever. Lack of actual sport made me stop so soon with my first. With my newest, and last, we’re 4 months strong. Or goal of 6 months is almost here. to keep going for a full year.
I am going to the Latch on Event in my hometown Saturday! I’m excited to be a part of this!
This giveaway is amazing, I would love to win!
I’m so grateful for the support found in this community!
I’m so excited for this giveaway and can’t wait to breast feed baby #2!
Wow!! Amazing giveaway for some dedicated milk mommies!! 🙂
So excited about this giveaway!! Hoping more moms will learn how important breastfeeding is!
Happy World Breastfeeding Week! I’m changing my FB profile photo to a picture of my son nursing and offering answers to any questions my FB friends may have about breastfeeding.
I have been breastfeeding for almost 12 months now. My son will be a year in two weeks and we don’t plan on stopping any time soon! I think it is amazing that women (and men) everywhere are stepping up and spreading breastfeeding awareness and giving support. Every woman deserves to feed her child naturally and without judgment. I love “The Leaky Boob” as well as my own leaky boobs!
Such an awesome giveay! Thanks to the hosts and sponsors!
Would love to win this!
Amazing products in this giveaway! I didn’t even know half of hem existed and now that I’ve been breastfeeding my daughter 14 months these would have been helpful awhile ago 😉
Breast feeding is beautiful, natural, and so valuable to your childs health. Today it’s less judged and more supported then 9 years ago when I chose to nurse my first born. We as mothers can stand strong and support each other through our breastfeeding experiences. Every bit counts!
As the first mom in a group of soon to be moms I try to breast feed openly around them to make it seem normal for them. I also give breast feeding accessories to new moms before the birth.
I always stress to my single friends the importance of breastfeeding 🙂 planting that seed in their head for when they turn into mommies
I’m pretty excited to be celebrating breastfeeding week for my 2nd year in a row (still nursing my 15mo old)! I thought BFing was SO isolating at first. Then I fell into a group of other nursing moms. I remember one day we were all picnicking in a park & all happened to be nursing our 6 babies, out in the open, at once. I thought, “Hey! If I’d seen more of this, I wouldn’t have felt so alone in the beginning!”. It was really a turning point for me.
Great website, great information, awesome giveaway!
Happy World Breastfeeding Week!
I probably would have given up on breastfeeding if it wasn’t for all the advice & supply of the leaky Boob!! Thanks
Sometimes just a smile is all that is needed to encourage a mother.
I give props to mommas who breast feed! it takes dedication adn patience! There are many reasouses out there but the leakyboob is a great great resouce to answer all the questions you ahve.
This would come in so handy, particularly the breast pump. I am expecting my 2nd child in October and we found out he has a cleft lip/palate, so my plan is to exclusively pump since he will be unable to latch.
The more we normalize breastfeeding, the more it will become the norm. This will help women to not be afraid to nurse, to be educated on the subject, and to not be lured into “booby traps”. Knowledge is power! Successful breastfeeding will become common knowledge instead of the mythical thing it has become. I never thought I’d be a full term breastfeeder. Before my son was born I said I’d try my hardest but probably wouldn’t go past 6 months because “that’s just weird!”. Wow! I sure was wrong. Once he was born and our breastfeeding relationship started I was hooked. I fought hard to continue, and now my first little nurser will be 2 next week! I am pregnant, due with his little sister next month and we are still nursing strong. Though we’ve had our obstacles, neither of us is ready to give it up just yet. I love to congratulate and extend my breastfeeding support to the new moms in my life. I know how much my breastfeeding has meant to me and my son and I want other mommies to experience the same joy and pride I have.
Btw, this giveaway ROCKS!! Happy Breastfeeding week!
Due in 22 days with my third and would love these great prizes!!
Yay for breastfeeding mommies!!! This is an amazing giveaway!!
I’ve been nursing DS for just over 2 years now. I try to make an effort to nurse in public whenever possible to encourage other women to continue nursing for as long as it suits their family’s needs.
Online support has been absolutely crucial to the success of my breastfeeding relationship with my babe. I don’t know what I’d do without the online community and support of all the breastfeeding mothers here. I’ve learned so much & am learning more every day through you lovely group of ladies. Happy Breastfeeding Month! Great giveaway!
I would love to win 🙂
Having one daughter that was breastfed and about to have another-I am grateful to think of how our culture is changing to make this more acceptable. I have found amazing support/resources and am happy to think how they will evolve to support my daughters with their future children 🙂 Although we have a way to go before then…
I love this! Anything we can do to promote breastfeeding in a difficult society for it is wonderful. Thank you for all you do for families.
Currently nursing my second daughter for thirteen months and still going strong. I’ve been very lucky to be surrounded by supportive family and friends, and I have been mentoring my husband’s cousin who gave birth to her first baby exactly one month after her mom died. I think that support is the key to success when it comes to breastfeeding!
I breastfed my oldest for 18 months till she weined herself. I expected to go at least 18 months with my now 2 month old too. The day she was born was beautiful, everything went perfect till.. she couldn’t latch. My midwife and I tried everything. Finally she took her aside and looked at her mouth. She was tongue and lip tied. We were finally able to get it taken care of on Monday. Since her birth I have been exclusivrly pumping for her. In a few days we will start teaching her how to nurse. I can’t wait for the moment she latches! Regardless of what happens my baby will have breastmilk for as long as I can give it to her. 🙂
A huge believer in breastfeeding support here- reaching new moms when they need help is critical to successful breastfeeding!
I am super excited about this giveaway! I’m due August seventh with my third and last baby and winning this, either package, would be a dream come true! I’d be the best prepared mom ever!
I love all the breast feeding support that can be found on here!!
Love The Leaky Boob, great info!!
Thank you to The Leaky Boob for being a great support over the last 6 years of my breastfeeding journey. Thanks to the other organizations, too, for the awesome giveaway! I have big plans to gift most of the items if I’m a lucky winner.
What a great giveaway!
Posts on The Leaky Boob encouraged me that I could tandem feed my now 15 month old and 2 month old baby. I knew no one in person who had ever done this and everyone I knew thought it was expected of my to wean my first when I was due for a second. Glad I listened to the online support out there so I knew how common this situation actually was outside of my local environment!
excited for the giveaway! Just started BFing child #2!
I am so thankful to have access to so many sites online to help answer questions about breastfeeding. They really helped me commit to breasfeeding my 6month old. And I have no plans to stop anytime soon. I try to do my part by breastfeeding whenever my daughter is hungry no matter where we may be. I really think seeing others out and about and openly breastfeeding will help other moms make the choice to to do as well.
This is such an incredible giveaway! Without TLB, I don’t know if I would have been brave enough to attempt to EBF my second child, after my first absolutely refused to nurse – even with the help of a patient and wonderful LC who practically moved in with me for 3 months.
So thank you Jessica for arming me with vital information and providing a lovely, supportive community, that made BFing my second son possible.
Great giveaway, glad there is a national breastfeeding awareness week as so many people more education and awareness regarding breastfeeding
Yay!!
Without breastfeeding support groups, I never would have made it this far. 7 weeks and counting!
I am a mom of 3 beautiful girls who were/are all breastfed. My youngest is 15 months. As a third time mom, with minor past breast feeding hurdles, I was not prepared for the set backs I went through with my now 15 month old. She would NOT nurse! I began pumping before I ever even left the hospital and fed her with a little cup. She even had to have donor milk due to low blood sugars. We came home, very next day I was at an appt. with an LC who recommended a shield. That helped, but did not solve all problems and was a PAIN!!!!! I was an emotional wreck and so was my starving baby. At this point I was strictly pumping(which is twice the work) and continually attempting with fail to put my LO directly to the breast. This went on for the first few months of her life. FINALLY, after many consultations, she was diagnosed with tongue/lip tie! She had both of those clipped and things got better, but not great. After all, she had fed with a bottle and terrible latch(when she nursed) for almost 3 months. With the support from fellow breast feeders, LC’s, pages like the LEAKY BOOB, and others I fed on and am still going at 15 months! Support is EVERYTHING in situations like these!!!! When most close to me were saying, “Just forget it, you’ve did all you can do!” I turned to these supporters for encouragement, strength, and a shoulder to cry on!!! And, they saved the day!!!!!!! My advice to any momma’s out there who are ready to just give up, DON’T DO IT!!!!! Reach out for help/support, that is why it’s there! You’ll be so glad you did. After all, BREAST is BEST!!!!!
Happy breastfeeding week! My 10 mo old and I will be attending a Great Latch On event this weekend. I’m so excited!
I love reading about the struggles & triumphs on your FB page. Has encouraged me to push through milk & soy intolerance to continue breastfeeding!
Love giveaways, especially ones that help raise awareness! I fully support breastfeeding and have done it a combined 7 years!
Awesome giveaway! Great advice and help.
🙂 awesome giveaway!!
I think websites like yours (and others) offer so much support these days. In the middle of the night when baby is screaming and you are feeling your worst, chances are there is info online and/or someone online on a forum that can help.
Thank you for all you do!
Awesome giveaway!! I hope I win!
So excited about this giveaway! I have received so much support from these organizations!!
This is the mother of all giveaways! Would love to win one of the packages!! I’m a proud breast feeding momma and so glad I can provide this experience and nutrition for my beautiful son!
I’ve been breastfeeding my daughter for 13.5 months, and I don’t think we’re going to stop anytime soon. I’ve been pumping since I went back to work part-time a few weeks ago, but she hasn’t been drinking too much of it. I spent a LOT of time online at La Leche League in the beginning, because I was worried about everything, and it really helped me feel confident about how I was feeding her, her weight gain, the sleepless nights. The online communities are such a valuable resource for new moms who are freaking out in the middle of the night, who have no idea what they’re doing, and also for experienced moms who may be going through an entirely different experience than before.
This is great! What a wonderful giveaway!
Awesome giveaway!!
Don’t judge others who are breastfeeding.
I bf my son until he was 13 months and my daughter is 21 months with no signs of weaning. I was able to get through some rough moments with help and support from sites like tThe Leaky Boob! Thanks so much!
I’m so thankful to live in a community where breastfeeding is very encouraged by medical professionals. One of the most helpful things for me with my first baby was having a public health nurse come to my house and check out how breastfeeding was going. She just said “you’re doing great, don’t give up!” I needed to hear that.
What an awesome set of prizes!
Oh, this is exciting!!!!!
This is such a fun a giveaway!
I love all of the information and support from the Leaky boob!
I love the support and resources this site provides.
Great giveaway! I am a first time mom with a two week old, and excited to be breastfeeding for the first time!
Encouragement and information go a long way! Breastfeeding can be very difficult and confusing without support.
The best thing I think we can do for moms (especially new moms) is be open about breastfeeding! It’s still so taboo to so many, we need to encourage open dialogue so it’s no longer weird or abnormal. I still have friends that are so uneducated about the benefits of breastfeeding, so I try to encourage them and give them as much info as possible so they can make the decision to breastfeed their babies (or future babies) with confidence! A little bit of positive reassurance can go a long way for someone who is nervous about breastfeeding!
I’m going to attend the Big Latch On event in my city to help normalize breastfeeding.
I’m a first time mom who is breastfeeding my son. He’s 6 weeks now. My husband is deployed and our family is far away. We are new to the area so I have few close friends here. I thought it would be easy to just feed my baby but really it is exhausting. I love it and that is what keeps me going. But I feel like a human pacifier! Pumping is hard. I feel like I’m either feeding the baby or holding the baby so I try to pump while he eats on the other side. But that is tiring too. I feel like if at least my hubby where here it would be easier. Then he could feed our son a bottle once or twice a day. SUpport and encouragement are definitely keys to success! But above all them mom has to want to BF her baby.
This is so exciting! World Breastfeeding Week is so important! The leaky Boob and several other sites have given so much support for Breastfeeding moms all over the world.
Nursing bebe #2@ 21m and getting ready for #3 in dec. what a wonderful way to continue.
I wish I had resources like this when I was trying to BF my DS – I was unsuccessful because I had no support. With my DS – I made it through to 11 months, but barely! Now I’m expecting baby #3 and I know I will have a much easier time with all of the great resources 🙂
I’m so thankful that I live in the age of the internet – any breastfeeding question I have can be answered by women the world over! I truly think this technological age has contributed to a rise in breastfeeding awareness and support.
So exciting! Looking forward to all of my local activities!
Amazing giveaway! It would be wonderful and so helpful financially to win something like this! I’ve been wishfully eyeing so many of these products for a long time now 🙂
What a giveaway! A person could really spread the love among their breastfeeding friends by winning one of these. I have a few soon-to-be mommies I could share with!
Regular mom and baby groups are a great way to gain and give support to new breastfeeding moms. I know it helped me a ton in the beginning and now I’m able to encourage other new moms.
I love that breastfeeding is becoming more commonplace. I give advice whenever it’s asked of which is often since I am a birth and postpartum doula. I love helping mamas have a better experience!
This giveaway is awesome! Thanks for supporting breast feeding in such a big way!
amazing, i can’t wait to see who wins! i am so happy to have a breastfeeding week!!
I’m excited for this!
Support for breastfeeding is so important, the more comfortable we are with breastfeeding, the longer we are willing to bf our babies giving them all of the immunity, comfort, nurishment, and love they need.
What a great giveaway!
I want to win!
What a great giveway! Thank you!
Thank you The Leaky Boob for providing evidence based research, support, wonderful information, and a safe environment for breastfeeding mamas!
The leaky boob is such a great resource for nursing mothers. My little one and I had a rough start with breastfeeding but we stuck with it. Now almost 5 months in and going strong!
Breastfeeding has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. With dedication and perseverance we can all achieve our breastfeeding goals! Stay strong and stick with it mamas 🙂
Breastfeeding support sites like this one have helped a lot! So much good education and encouragement! We are on month 8 of breastfeeding and plan to let her wean. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that your milk isn’t good enough! One of the biggest lies out there! You can do it!!!!!!!!
I am currently breastfeeding my third baby. We have made it 7 months so far. I did not continue breastfeeding my first two babies as long as I would have liked. I wish I would have known about sites like this and more people who were open about breastfeeding, I feel like it would have made a difference in my choices at that time. I am trying to make a difference in my own small way by breastfeeding in public and talking to anyone who has questions. I hope that because I am open about breastfeeding maybe someone else might be encouraged to continue breastfeeding when they may have given up.
sharing away https://www.facebook.com/s.jean.weber/posts/555018442600
Wow what joy and blessing this would be! My sister is ebf also so i would share some wins with her
I’ve been saving for six months to try and replace the Ergo that LAX TSA personnel cut open at the security checkpoint while my back was turned nursing my baby. We’ve been using a ring sling but he’s almost outgrown it, and my three year old doesn’t like it either. I love baby wearing, just wish it were more affordable.
I would love to win these things, I want to try an d go back to work, but we cant afford a pump and no one I personally know breastfeeds. Your site is so insightful and has some good advice. Keep up the hard work, its great!
Breastfeeding support from a community of women was so important to my BF success. I appreciate the support from mommies from my local community and my on-line community.
Loving the giveaway and love Leakyboob
It makes it so much better to know you can get support from the Leaky Boob.
One day, I shall win an amazing prize package like this… hoping it’s this time!!! 😉
I’m Excited to be part of breast-feeding week as a first-time mom and EBF! These giveaway packages are fabulous! If I were to win, I would keep some of the prizes, but would also share with the other moms in my lactation support group! I love my fellow mommies!
What a great giveaway–so many helpful items for nursing moms!
This giveaway is so awesome. It’s so great to have some many breastfeeding resources to help all of us, especially those of us who breastfeeding might not of came so easy to in the beginning. So greatful for the Leaky boob
Before I had my LO, I didn’t know much about breastfeeding or the support communities out there that celebrate this beautiful moment in so many women’s lives. I wouldn’t trade breastfeeding for the world. I love that I am able to not only feed my child, but also calm her, comfort her, and share my affection with her. Thank you to The Leaky B@@b and all the other wonderful communities online and everywhere who share support for breastfeeding mothers. There are times when each and every one of us needs support from a friend, and I know I can always find at least one (usually many) here.
I was only able to breastfeed my daughter until she was 6 months old due to my milk drying up, but through better lactation consultants and better support I have been able to EBF my son who is now 11 months old. So, ladies if you have trouble with the first that doesn’t mean that you won’t be successful with future babies.
Happy Breastfeeding Week, Leakies!
I love seeing all the positivity around breastfeeding. I have had very little support, we had a rough start but we are still EBF! I hope women everywhere bf if its right for them without worrying about what others think or say. Thanks for all your hard work with getting the word and support out there!
I support breastfeeding by being active in the LLL, participating in events like the big latch on, being involved in WIC with applying for peer breastfeeding helper, helping run a group with ebf moms, I run a local breastfeeding Facebook page, etc. I am still currently breastfeeding my almost 1 year old, and I am a huge advocate of all things breastfeeding. I just want to help all moms give the best they can!
I have been breastfeeding since September 2010, and currently on baby #2. It isn’t always easy. Most of my troubles have come from judgmental people. But I always remember that it’s my choice and I’m enjoying my time with my girls. While it can be difficult and painful in the beginning and adjusting to new babies, the bond you form is so amazingly worth it. Enjoy it while it lasts, for they grow up so fast.
Breastfeeding is not to be attempted by the lighthearted! It’s a commitment and time consuming. But rest in knowing that your baby needs you alone for comfort, food and security! What a blessing to sacrifice and be all these things for your child! Most rewarding thing… ever!
I don’t have a good answer. Just happy to be breastfeeding for once during WBW and that we passed 1 year. 🙂
In the first few weeks, nursing is difficult, but our lactation consultant kept us going. Now nursing number two.
what a wonderful giveaway!
This is amazing! What a great getaway.
Having baby number two in September, this would make life so much easier!!!
What an incredible giveaway package!! Breast feeding is the most wonderful (and sometimes challenging) time I get to spend with my daughter. Grateful for groups like this!
I’ve depended on online support groups like the leakyboob during my entire breastfeeding journey so far. I am so excited to celebrate my first Annual Breastfeeding Week!
I think sites like this are crucial for moms. Especially mothers who are not surrounded by other nursing moms or live in an uneducated community about how hard nursing can be.
I’m almost three weeks into nursing my child and it’s substantially easier this round, but even then I want to quit from exhaustion. I’m so tired. But I know it’s worth it.
What an amazing giveaway! I love the breastfeeding support I can find online these days. I wish I had been this aware with my first baby!!!
I help raise awareness/encourage mothers to breastfeed through my blog & Facebook page, Keep Austin Nursing in Public, through legislative work, & through involvement in my local & state breastfeeding coalitions. It’s my calling!
Love the leaky boob!!!
It’s Christmas in August with all these AMAZING prizes!!!! Thank you!!!
Breastfeeding for 6 months and counting!!
The Leaky Boob definitely helped me in my decision to keep breastfeeding past 6 months. My baby girl is now 8 months and we’re going strong… I’m going to let her decide when she’s done!! It’s nice to know there are so many extended breastfeeders out there.
Any encouraging words help or even just listening to bf related problems.
This is a great giveaway!
I had an amazing experience breast feeding my daughter. I try to share my story, it’s not hard for everybody. We are 9 months and still going
I’ve never wanted to win a giveaway as much in my life. These are awesome! Happy World BF Week Mommas!!!
We have been breast feeding through 2 different no supportive pediatricians, countless year filled nights, lots of trips to two LCs and shear will power! 3 months and going pretty strong ebf! I am also a college student with a full time working husband an we both are Having to make some serious changes and sacrifices to be able to finish our degrees and take care of our family such as school in the evenings for me and a large enough break I can come home and nurse an him having to come home early so we don’t need a babysitter! We are working so hard and this giveaway would help us out so much!
I love TLB. I was having issues with milk+baby sleep time and TLB users helped me. I was concerned that I wouldn’t make enough milk for my DS if I did not feed him during night time. One of the suggestions I got was to “dream feed” him. It actually works! I still dream feed him every night. Love you TLB.
The Leaky Boob has already been a HUGE encouragement to me and my first little one isn’t set to arrive for a month! I know we can do this!!
I didn’t have any experience with seeing breastfeeding women before my LO came, but I had decided it was best for the baby (and cheapest, and so…perfect) so was going along with it when I found so much support from friends and family I wasn’t expecting. I joined a support group, just to be with moms who thought as I did. I didn’t know it was revolutionary to feed my babe in public–she was hungry, so I fed her. But I got props for doing it. I think continued support and outreach, edcuation, etc is key. We’ve even ordered cards that say “thank you for breastfeeding in public” with the groups information–I can’t wait to get them and pass them out. <3
I love helping friends when they have BFing questions or concerns. I’m no pro, but I love helping in any way I can. The Leaky B@@b is a great resource and I recommend to all my pregnant/nursing friends! When I BF my 3rd son (1st baby I BF), I really needed alot of help. I’m thankful I was able to go to my LC and ask questions on The Leaky B@@b FB page! BF rocks!!!!
Sharing a struggle I had breastfeeding my twins but that I was able to has encouraged two of my friends that they could do the same with their twins
I was not able to breast feed my oldies due to lack of education on the subject. But thanks to the support of friend, family and amazing groups like these, I am going strong with #2. I am only 2 mouths in but everyday is another small goal for me.
Fantastic giveaway!!!!!!
Support is so important for breastfeeding mums! Without support a difficult task becomes much more difficult! Breastfeeding is so rewarding but it can be a lot of hard work too! I’m grateful to webpages like the LeakyBoob for giving support to all those breastfeeding moms out there just like me! 🙂
Breastfeeding my second and I finally “get it” – I get why it’s important to support nursing in public, I get why telling a nursing mom to “just cover up” is difficult if not impossible for her to do, depending on whether the baby can nurse covered up, I get how isolating it is to leave a social situation to nurse in private, I get how gross it is to nurse in a bathroom, and I totally get why nursing in public isn’t a political or social statement……it’s just me feeding my baby!!!!!
Happy world breastfeeding week to all of the awesome breastfeeding mamas!!!
My greatest advocate and supporter of breastfeeding has always been my husband. I think it’s great to know that he has my back if we get comments while out in public. I wish more men were supportive of breastfeeding.
Who else is loving the theme for this years WBW? I think it’s lovely, especially to highlight the importance of Breastfeeding Peer Counselors, what an awesome program. Way to go to all the babies being BF!
talk about inspiration! The Leaky Boob prepared me for breastfeeding before my little guy was here and now at 6 months old, we are still going strong and I love getting TLB instagram and blog updates daily. Keeps me motivated and I just love how open she is – normalizing breastfeeding! <3 <3 Really hope I win this epic giveaway!
I love the bond that BFing creates between baby and me!
I’m ebf twin boys- and they are thriving! It’s so wonderful to find such support!
Raising awareness about breastfeeding is so important because this information is not passed down like it used to be. So many moms have lots of questions, and they need answers. Thanks for spreading the answers around!
Thank you all for your ongoing support!
Am so excited about the giveaway!
This is such an amazing giveaway and I would absolutely love to win it! I was able to breastfeed my son for 15 months and I am hoping to make it to at least 18 months with our daughter! She is currently 10weeks old and nursing like a champ but I go back to work in 4 weeks and getting nervous about the change. I know my willpower is strong enough to keep going just like I did for our ds but I worry aboit how she will do. I won’t give up though and know I can do it! 🙂
I would love to help other women with their breastfeeding journey bc its not easy and you need support! I am at least trying to do my part about spreading the word for Breastfeeding week and I will certainly be sharing this too! Even if I don’t win, i hope i do ;). … thank you so much donating so many wonderful things to he women giving the best thing they can to their babies! 🙂
I will always support breastfeeding mothers. I know first hand how important support is and how much it means to me as a breastfeeding mother. I know breastfeeding is something I will do regardless of others opinions on it but having the support of my husband and a few others makes it easier. I will try to help nursing mothers any way I can , even if its just a smile across the room to another nursing mother. If I ever see a nursing mother harassed for simply feeding her baby I will give her support and kindly help her to educate the harasser on her rights and that breastfeeding her baby is natural and in no way wrong.
I try to do my part for advocating by never being afraid to nurse my baby whenever they need it. The more people see it, the more normal it will become!
Absolutely amazing! The blog is amazing, people are amazing and the giveaways are pretty sweet too : )
Thank you Leaky Boob
I love following the Leaky B@@B and will breastfeed all over Lincoln, NE during Breastfeeding Week. I usually do that anyway because I like to go out and about during the day and Daisy, my 4 month old, will eat anywhere!
What an amazing giveaway!
What a great way to start off world breastfeeding week. I’m really excited to read some good posts this week from various breastfeeding advocates.
What an amazing giveaway from a generous bunch.
Not only are you generously providing support and knowledge to
Breastfeeding moms but also allowing the exchange of support from moms to moms!
And that is priceless! Thank you!
I wish I had this kind of support and information sooner! I am on my third breastfed child, and I am amazed at how things have changed, and how some things (people’s ideas on breastfeeding) haven’t. My oldest is 18, my youngest just 9 months old. Having my first as a teenager, I had enough attitude to not care about the public’s views – and yes, I did feed in public. With my second, I had to do more pumping than feeding, and gave up at 7 months. Now with my third, I am finally finding support outside of family, helpful hints and a better ability to do what’s best for my baby.
I love reading and learning from the posts on Facebook. I’ve been EBFing my son (3.5 months) since the beginning.
2 healthy EBF babies who love the boob! My 4 mo old wont take a bottle, and
My 2 yr old is obsessed with nursing her ‘babies’ bc she sees me nursing my baby!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway. Just pregnant so no advice yet!
What an incredible give away! I am currently nursing a 3 year old and pg with number 2! I am a mother I never imagined I would be constantly overcoming breastfeedingt challengers and judgment. We are proud of our nursing relationship and openly communicate out choices to friends and family as well as NIP. We are nervous and excited at the possibility of entering into a tandem nursing relationship and value this site and all bf sites for support.
I am so happy to learn that there is a world breastfeeding week! I just wish the area where I live was participating and had something planned to celebrate it. Oh well, I am celebrating along with you ladies! And of course still nursing my LO, now a little over 7 months old. 🙂
Hurray for breastfeeding support!
I live in an area with lots of support for breastfeeding mothers. There is a “boob group” every day of the week, and several organizations. It has been so helpful for me and my two month old.
This is an awesome give away! Yay!!!
Thanks for the giveaway!!! 🙂
This is my third baby girl and i love bf her. Im strongly going to be bf for 3 months. So far everything is going great. I just found this website and Im glad i did, very interesting.
I shared on Pinterest!

I’m 24 weeks today and I’ll be a breastfeeding, pumping and working outside the home mother. I’m so excited about the birth of my baby but winning this package would really put me over the moon! My income is our main source of money right now while my husband works as a CNA and goes back to school as a nurse. I always assumed I’d be a SAHM but that’s not possible–so I’m going to be the very best mom I can while also working!
I’m exclusively breast feeding my 4 month old and never want to stop! Bfing with my first didn’t work out and I feel incredibly lucky to be having such a great experience with my second.
Huge supporter of breastfeeding!! Even after DD weans, I’d like to pump so that I can donate my milk to mother’s who are unable to breastfeed.
support and information can make all the difference when it comes to a successful breastfeeding relationship. whether its from a lactation consultant (which is how I received support and valuable knowledge which kept me nursing for 18 months) or a friend, family member, husband, etc. I always try to be that support person for other moms I know.
I really appreciated hearing about other mothers and their troubles to know that I wasn’t alone. Wish I had found it a little earlier.
What a wonderful giveaway!
I breastfed my daughter until she self weaned at 21 months when I was around 10 weeks pregnant with my son! I’m now bfing my son. My husband has been a great support 🙂
Fabulous giveaway, so excited!
Love this site.
I love this blog. It really picks me up when I get frustrated EBFing my LO
thanks for offering all the advice and support.
As a Childbirth Educator and Doula I try to get mama’s into breastfeeding before the baby comes! 🙂
I love this website. It is so informative.
EBF my son who is 10 weeks! Plan to do baby led weaning when he is ready.
Thanks for all the support and information!!
I want to win!!
I think support is the most important thing that can be done to help spread breastfeeding rates.
I love the Leaky Boob, it’s a wonderful resource and a great source of support. Love it!
Woohoooo! Awesome giveaway!! Way to celebrate!
I support awareness and (hopeful) spread encouragement by nursing in public, often without a cover. My daughter will be a year old next week (*sob*) and she is much too big and active to be covered up. But she still loves to nurse and I love to oblige.
Breastfeeding 2 child now and loving it!! 🙂
I have been providing breastmilk to my baby by exclusively pumping and receiving donations from other mothers. It has been a hard journey for us and I have greatly benefited from the online words of wisdom from others in similar situations.
Thanks for such an amazing blog on breast feeding! I’m excited about the giveaway.
Happy to have a new place for breastfeeding support!
I love the leaky boob!
I’m pregnant with my second child and due in September. This giveaway would come in handy…
My daughter is 15 month and still going strong breastfeeding. I absolutely love and cherish the moments!
Awesome giveaway! I am due with #2 in Oct and hoping to nurse longer than I did with #1 (6 months). I have set a goal of one year minimum and rely on The Leaky Boob for support and information. I know I will be referring to this blog heavily when #2 and I begin our journey. Winning a giveaway like this one would definitely help me achieve my breastfeeding goals also!
Any of these would be great! We are planning to start on # 2 some time in the nearish future, and the Leaky Boob and affliates have been amazing getting me through with breastfeeding #1 so far! Thank you!
I’m so looking forward to breastfeeding my new family member 🙂
Awesome! It’s so great to support other women for something so important. It’s not that it’s “hard” to breastfeed, but it’s not that easy either!!
What an exciting giveaway! The best I’ve seen! I’m ebf my 4 month old and plan to as long as possible. I quit easily with my sons because of lack of support but not this time. I’m proud to be a nursing mama 🙂
So excited for this giveaway! Thank you leaky boob for all of your help and advice.
I grew up watching my mom breastfeed my younger siblings and watching my friends’ moms breastfeed as well, so breastfeeding was pretty well normalized for me as a child. The only time I saw bottle fed infants was when my parents did foster care. I did not, however, realize how much support is necessary for a successful breastfeeding relationship until I had my daughter and started breastfeeding. I was nervous about breastfeeding in public, my DD refused to latch if she had anything covering her, and my husband was not my best support because he was even less comfortable with me nursing in public (he had also bottle fed his older daughter when she was an infant, so he had a really hard time finding other ways to bond with our baby). I struggled through the first few months with a lot of online support before I finally met a group of local moms who provided me with in person support and have become very good friends. I am now passionate about providing moms with whatever support they need, and I know from experience how difficult it can be to ask for help…so I try to offer it as often as possible.
This is a wonderful giveaway. My daughter is due with her 3rd child in November. Both her girls are under years. She started out breast feeding her first, but had to stop when her milk dried up due to getting pregnant again. she could not breast feed the 2nd one but wants to with the third. problem is she has no money for a pump and supplies. she just lost her job. I just went through a divorce so I am just as broke. winning this would mean so much to both of us. Thank you!
When I had my first 2 kids I did not have the knowledge to breast feed long. With my current baby, I have learned so much. From 2009 when my 2nd was born to now there is so much more support and info readily available. I am so thankful for this, because I am now going strong at almost 8 months! My daughter has not had one bottle!
Please Support all women who want to breast-feed, and encourage those who aren’t sure. I believe that it is one of the best things a mother can do for her baby. I cherish that special time holding my baby close and being able to provide for her needs on such a fundamental level. It is such a great way to have some quiet time, put your feet up and relax, not to mention the health benefits for both! Can’t complain about the extra cup size(s) either ;o)
Breast feeding has been so amazing for me and my daughter. Because of TLB and TMM I will let my baby wean on her own. And stand strong when family says to wean at 1 year.
Amazing giveaway! Way to go for all us BF mommies. It can sometimes be difficult but it is worth it. 🙂
I’m so happy to have world breastfeeding week and people like you sharing it with all the world!
Perfect timing for these prizes. I have approximately 4 weeks left. Plus I refer clients to your blog as you are a great resources!
What an amazing giveaway!
Looking forward to BFing my second son who was due on Monday!! Hoping this time will be easier than it was with my now 4yr old!! So excited I can’t wait!
These are some awesome giveaways. I never win anything and these would be a great first. BFing my 3rd child who is 2 1/2 weeks old.
Awesome give aways!!! Been EBFing for almost 9 mos and love it!!
I breastfeed in public without shame! It is good there is so much support on the internet, because it was awfully hard for me in the beginning.
This is so awesome! I would love to win, I haven’t had much good luck lately.
I can’t tell you how much information I’ve gleaned from just lurking on the Leaky Boob facebook posts! So much great advice and support for breastfeeding mamas. As a new mom who EBF her daughter I very much appreciate it!
Love all the support you give to nursing mothers! I always feel better reading your posts; knowing others are having the same love and frustrations of nursing that I have.
Great giveaway! I love the breastfeeding love this week 🙂
I would really love to be the winner of this. I am pregnant with my third and we exclusively BF the first two. All we had was one nursing bra, one udder cover and a boppy. Lol needless to say that poor bra was worn down to the point of extinction. Anything to make BF this third time around a little easier would be amazing! GL to everyone!
What an absolutely fabulous giveaway! I think that peer support needs to be promoted more.
Proud to be a lactivist!
The leaky boob was pretty much my only support when I first started nursing!
With my first I EBF while on a dairy/soy/beef/chocolate/tomato diet due to food intolerances my DD had. This time i’ll be working while EBF DD #2 the whole school year while on a similar diet (just in case 🙂 ). Students are always in my room after school for help and I’ll be nursing while I work with them. I’m nervous about what phonecalls I may get from parents, but very glad that I work at a very supportive High School!
World breastfeeding week is such a fab idea. I really hope it encourages those who are struggling or who haven’t had a chance to try yet to give it a go!
Don’t be afraid to ask questions or for help. So many people helped me reach my goal and beyond that because I wasn’t afraid to say I needed help. I have extended that help to other mommies in hopes they will be as successful as they want to be.
Thanks to wonderful websites like this, I not only found great resources/information, but was able to pass along to other (new) mom friends who needed encouragement and support. Breastfeeding shouldn’t be limited to raising awareness to one week or month, it should be everyday. Thanks for this awesome giveaway!
What an amazing giveaway to celebrate breast feeding week!
Leaky boob is awesome – informative, personal, uplifting and funny all rolled into one 🙂
My babysitter has had a front row seat for my daughter’s first year. Since she is my second child, I’ve been much more relaxed and confident about breastfeeding. My babysitter is now expecting her first baby in a month and I’m sure all the things we’ve talked about and that she’s seen me do will help her as she plans to breastfeeding, too!
I am due sept 1 and would love to win!!!
Such an awesome giveaway! I <3 The Leaky B@@b!
I’m proud to be breast feeding my second daughter! I’ve made recommendations and referrals to young new mothers in my sister’s resource program to spread the word and encourage!
I’m so glad I found this site. I wasn’t able to breastfeed my 1st child and was very uneducated about breadfeeding in general. Now that baby #2 is coming, I’m really hoping to be able to breastfeed this one.
I am new to The Leaky Boob and have been breastfeeding my 3 month old since day 1. Hoping to learn more “tricks of the trade” here and so glad there are so many great networks of breastfeeding moms supporting each other!
The lactation specialist was so helpful to learn tips and tricks from proper latch to how to get baby to not lose the whole feeding. Stick with it! It’s one of the best things to give your baby! Also it lets you really bond with baby. So amazing that God gives our body everything it needs to jot only support life in the womb but also the exclusive food for 6 months!! Talk to someone and stick to it!!
What an amazing giveaway! Love the Leaky Boob!
Breasted 3 1/2yrs for my first and my 3mth old will nurse however long he wants. I am grateful for the community leakyboob has created so I don’t feel so alone doing this. 🙂
Cool giveaway! I’ve nursed two kids, about to start again when our third is born. Glad this resource exists!
So many great packages! I was successful at breastfeeding my son until 14 months I cant wait for my little to get her to do the same.
What amazing and helpful give away packages!!!
I found your site as a new mom, when looking for a lactation cookie recipe. Best search I ever did. I love following you on facebook and appreciate the products and articles you have linked me with. I now feel like I am doing things “right” instead of constantly questioning myself.
I think this is a wonderful idea! I’ve entered, here’s hoping I win! If I don’t I hope someone else who needs it will!
what an awesome giveaway! happy world breastfeeding week!
12 months and still going strong! 🙂
When I found out I was pregnant in 2010, I didn’t even know I was going to decide on breastfeeding until my husband encouraged me to research it. The I found The Leaky B@@b on FB and I was so encouraged by reading the difficulties other moms have had and how to fix them that I nursed my son until he was 17 months! I had to completely eliminate dairy, we had thrush several times, and I was well into my second pregnancy when I stopped. I am now at 7 months exclusively breastfeeding, planning to go at LEAST until 2 years, and loving the bond I have with my boys!! I have helped encourage several friends to nurse, and they in turn have encouraged some of theirs to breastfeed. Supporting each other is how we will change our culture in America!
The Leaky Boob provided me with support that I was unaware I was in need of. My confidence with regards to breastfeeding in public has skyrocketed!! Thyanks!!
I help to normalize breastfeeding my breastfeeding my babes in public and through my work with my company Ohana Wellness and even in my book Sage Parenting: Where Nature Meets Nurture.
