- Have support to process and reflect on your pregnancy and birth experience
- Prepare mentally and emotionally for postpartum changes
- Be familiar with the range of postpartum professionals
- Be able to identify when to get help for difficulties and complications
- Have a basic understanding of feeding options in relation to postpartum recovery
- Understand normal newborn behavior and how that impacts postpartum recovery
- Have realistic expectations for sleep and rest for yourself and your baby
- Have a basic understanding of recovery from possible birth difficulties
- Be able to set up your postpartum recovery support network
- Be familiar with tried and true tricks and products for postpartum recovery
- Have tools for important communication including with partners, health care providers, family, and more
- Have practiced identifying, communicating, and holding boundaries for your baby and your recovery
- Have your questions about postpartum sex, pottying, and other taboo topics answered
- Be able to recognize the range of postpartum mental health experiences
- Be set up for success in your recovery, relationships, and parenting
- Have practiced critical conversations to have with those in your life
- Determine your personal strategic action steps to set you and your family up for your postpartum recovery
This 2 Hour workshop is full of evidence-based practical strategies that will improve your postpartum recovery plus truly down to earth “what we wish we had known” conversation and community.
